Kds K-92bw After about 5 min the screen goes blank..turning the unit off than back on the screen looks great for a while about 3 min than goes black..seems to be a caused by heat? This trouble maybe power supply or inverter boards is defective.

This issue is most likely caused by a capasitor doing bad. There is no easy fix. It must be disembled and the power supply repaired. If done properly, it should cost somewhere between $ 50 to $125. But it may do it again as the Pwoer supply is a known issue for this monitor. Sorry.

You either have a bad inverter or a bad backlight tube.
The parts are relatively inexpensive but depending on your technical skill level it may not be worth repairing

The inverter is fairly easy to replace but the backlight will be a pain as the light tubes are extremely thin and break very easily.

if you look closely can you see a very dark image on the screen? your problem is usually the result of the backlight on its way out, these are very hard to replace so you will need to take it to a profesional, in most cases it is cheeper to buy a new screen.

The lamp may be starting to go, the symptoms you describe are classic warning signs. You could unplug tv let it cool down and check lamp most likely the glass will not look clear maybe a little milky or smoky in areas..dead give away.

Have you checked your video card or adapter?
Check the settings on the monitor itself.
If you didn't find the problem go into system properties (windows logo + pause)/hardware/device manager. Expand monitor/right click and see if your new monitor is listed. Is there a yellow or red symbol next to it? This would mean a problem, then right click symbol/properties and error will be shown.
Could be a memory issue.
Don't forget to try a "working monitor". This will narrow it down a bit.

KDS monitor screen goes blank.when you shut it off & turn it back on it goes blank again within a few seconds.

make sure all the cables are secure... by unplugging and re-plugging them back in. Does the monitor feel very hot in the back or on top? If so unplug the monitor and tip it upside down to make sure nothing metal fell inside.

KDS Valiant no image on on screen

first of all try to start your laptop in safemode
1 start laptop
2 continously press F8 key
3 when you see menyu select "start windows in safe mode"

if your computer starts with same mode and you see the desktop
then you just have to restore your xp with earlier system restore check point
and if you dont see desktop in safe mode also then you must have to install win xp again

steps for restore windows xp
1 start
2 programs
3 accassories
4 system tools
5 system restore
6 chose restore system to earlier time
then select any earlier date in calender at which computer is working properly
and click restore
it restores your xp and restart your pc and your problem will be solved

if still having problem then you must reinstall windows xp

Black Screen after 5 mins. of use

Question when u loose picture do u loose sound also ? If so there is an 27Mhz xtal on the (SSB) small signal board that needs to be changed when it heats up it cycles out of phase. when it cools down it will work again till it heats up.

It could also be that the video card is not compatible with this monitor. After the pc boots up, can you get into windows? Does the monitor always go out at a specific time on boot? Say for example; you boot the pc, windows startup splash screen comes on; screen does a quick flash and goes blank. Then it maybe the BIOS setting for the video. Try changing the IRQ setting.
