Billy here's a link to A & B Sales. They have what you're looking for. Whether your heater is Natural Gas or Propane makes no difference when it comes to thermocouples. However the length of the tubing does when it's a wall or stand type vent-free heater.

I need a thermocouple for a dyna glo heater model #RMC-40GT

I believe on your particular model , that you have to replace the entire pilot assembly. As the thermocouple is an intricate part of it. In which case any LP or Natural Gas heater's pilot assembly will fit it. You will have to secify either Natural Gas or LP Gas when ordering.

I have provided 2 links to where you can purchase the pilot assembly you need.

If it is a few years old, it could be the thermocouple. These are usually available from Lowes. Take your model/serial # and if you can, take the old part too.

Hi i need a coupler i think / for a dyna-glo propane wallheater but i am not sure what the part looks like could you e-mail a pic please yo [email protected] is a D-E37

First of all you must be very careful with working with propane, unlike natural gas, propane is heavier than air and will not dissipate. Coupler (Thermocouple) There many different types, But what they all have in common is the tip. The unit may have what they call a pilot. Most customers know it as the pilot light. once you find the tip in the pilot in the following picture is a type of thermocouple. look at the tip. Then look at yours Follow tip assembly it should be attach to what we call a gas value 58caa1e.jpg

Natural Gas wall heater

It sounds like the thermocoupler is either not adjusted into the flame properly, or you may have gotten a bad one. The thermocouple is the main thing that makes the pilot work.

A short pilot flame not playing on the thermocouple or a faulty thermocouple , loose connection at the gas where thermocouple is ,

blocked pilot flame to small , air in gas line did he purge the gas line first? other wise you will be there a long time .

We had a problem keeping the pilot light to stay on, and this site recommended that it could possibly be the thermocoupler that was causing our problems also. We ordered the thermocouple, put it on,hooked it back up and it worked great! Thank you so much.
