Okay recently my father's flat screen T.V. had an unfortunate run in with A wildly flung Wii controller. it hit the tv in the very top right corner, leaving roughly a 4"x4" spider webbed crack in the corner, a black streak the same width as the cracks that runs to the bottom of the screen and is filled with random vertical colored lines, and some faint black lines running along the top of the screen horizontally about halfway across and as far down the screen as the cracks.. i'm wondering if its possible to repair this as least partially or if its a lost cause... anyway I thank you for your time and am patiently awaiting your reply,

If you have not yet fixed this and haven't trashed the set I may have a solution.
I have a 50HP66 that has a good screen but bad sustain boards.
I will buy the boards from you...Easy to remove. Then you can use that money to buy a new TV.
Fixing a cracked screen is not practical. IE. Replacing the whole screen.
These sets are made to be sent to the land fill when the warranty is up.
Maybe we should have our lawmakers force companies to have minimum warranties for large toxic products that end up in the trash. Then they might make them last more than a year.

one of my kid's friends hit something into the middle of our flat screen. Now there is a big "spiderweb" in the center and vertical lines with a "no signal" coming up on the screen. Wondering if it is fixable or better to buy a new tv?
My spider web is in the left corner of the TV and I all did was tilt it forward while dusting the TV stand..
As god as my witness, nothing ever touched our 46", 8-month-old Bravia. Yet one day we turned it on to find the same spider web you folks are talking about... Sony has been a nightmare to deal with regarding this issue. We can only hope that honest consumers like ourselves can expect to be compensated for our sometime, thousand-dollar losses....
I was checking for a friend I cant pay so thanks anyway.
