After several hours of monitor use, a horizontal distortion sets in of the monitor-image, after several minutes increasing and finally turning into a vertically revolving image. The problem especially appears when looking at video's. When I turn of the computer for an hour or two, and subsequently start using the pc again, the problem seems over. But these last days I experienced that after several hours the problem will rise again. I've downloaded already the driver. Also I've re-installed the software for the graphic card. I have used this monitor for six years. Never had any problem with it.

SOURCE: My Neovo F-417 started to get lines across the screen then the images fragmented - 10 minutes & it lost power totally.

Chris,

Try unplugging the monitor from any video cables. Only have the power cable plugged into and then turn it on. You should see a message that indicates there is no video source. If you do not see this message then the monitor has failed, and you'll need to call it in on it's warranty. (If it is still under warranty.) To call neovo - the number is 866-333-3686.

If it is out of warranty - it's going to be cheaper to buy a new monitor.

If the video message that there is no signal does display, then try plugging the monitor in with a different video cable and see if that has any results. If not, try plugging the monitor into a different computer. If it works on a different computer, you may have a bad video port on the computer you are plugging the monitor into.

Hope that information helps!

Wide screen monitor distortion
Depending upon the screen resolution that has been set in Display, the image will be distorted on these large wide screen monitors.
To correct this distortion.
1. Create a large circle image using a draw program such as Paint (hold down the Shift key as you create the circle as it will draw a perfect circle).
2. Open Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and adjust the Screen resolution slider, increase or decrease the screen resolution then bring the circle image to the front and check the image, if the circle is still distorted then change the screen resolution and check the circle again until you are satisfied with the image of the circle.
3. When you are satisfied then click apply.

Monitor intermittent power problems. Horizontal green flickering lines

You have to check the ESR in tha caps in power supply with esr meter.
If you dont have one just replace all capacitors in the power section(there are severals of them)This is the simptom of low esr in the capacitors.
Return the monitor in factory settings.

Screen stretched out horizontally and distorting picture. None of the settings buttons appear to solve this. I can shift the image vertically or horizontally; but not squeeze it horizontally.

There are adjustments in the size of the items on a screen under the screen properties, settings. If you right click on the desktop screen and then properties you can get there. There is at least one size which causes a distortion of images being displayed. This may be your problem.
