SOURCE: When I connect my model KW-SA235 to my PC and TV,

PC to TV KW-SA235

Even though I have a hi res. 40 inch TV from Sony the quality of the picture from the PC to TV is far inferior to the small screen on my laptop. I can read all the shortcuts in the laptop, but they are completly unreadable on the TV.

I have tried to use the adjustment for increasing the sharpness, but it hardly changes. I tried to use the AV cable instead of the RCA one and although the definition was the same it went black and white,

The instructions tell me to change the computer resolution and refresh rate the pictures are so small that even after scanning then at 600 bpi I cannot see what is on the pictures of the screen.

This is far below the quality that I was hoping for and I am really disappointed. Even copying old videos from the 50's I am getting better pictures than this. There must be a better way of getting the very good screen results on my laptop, - an almost brand new Toshiba , onto my almost brand new Sony DVD Recorder. HDI to the Telly works fine but there does not seem to be a HDMI input, on the DVD recorder only an output.

The inputs available are RCA, AV which the laptop does not have, a scart and a USB which I do not seem to be able to use. So how do others do this. I have a lot of things on a 1.5 terabyte hard disk that I want to put on DVD.

Any comments would be welcome. Thanks George.

The KA-SA235 is not optimal with Hi-res digital TVs as the max resolution output is 1024x768. It's better suited for SD TVs using an NTSC or PAL signal.

How do I get my TV to play a PPT from a USB or an SD card?

That's not difficult. You can first convert PowerPoint to video format and save it in an USB drive/SD card. Simply save PPT file as WMV from the option. Keep in mind that the exported WMV file does not have audio. So if you want to remain sound, you may need a more professional PPT to video converter on your computer.

Play powerpoint on tv

Hi, have a look at this, it is for burning to dvd, btu it might just do.
When you burn to an SD card it needs to be for the correct format of your tv and there are so many different formats.
But take a look anyway.

During Powerpoint presentations, I am unable to play embedded video clips OR straight from a DVD that is minimized on desktop without a lag...on the screen it says 'searching for signal' when I click on...

this is caused by your computer changing resolutions in order to display the video full screen. to decrease this, set your screen size as close as posible to the size of the video

Powerpoint video won't play on screen

you can try changing your overlay settings. works with some formats. or you could use the projector as main display (toggle through fn+LCD/CRT)
