Does it start blinking as soon as you plug the tv in or only after you hit the power button? Also, how many times is it blinking? Count the number of blinks at least three times

Try to unplug and replug the power cord. If TV remains unchanged you need to call for service. The power supply board was defective. In worse case, the Y and buffers are defective, too. alletram sounds like a high voltage arc got your tv, it might just be a capacitor blown very inexpensive to fix. find some one that does component replacement.
