I had installed creative pci sound blaster 5.1 vx, but sound in the speakers cannot be heared

click start control panel hardware and sound manage audio devices right click on your speaker select configure speakers
right click on the speaker icon in the bottom taskbar you will see an array of options select playback devices make sure it has a green tick and the correct speakers are selected
be updated if you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it although once speakers are connected widows 7 should automatically update the drivers
click start control panel hardware and sound manage audio devices playback you might have to set a default go for via high definition audio then right click on speaker
you might have to configure them then select properties you will see tabs general level in this tab make sure your settings are loud enough also enhancements and advanced from the drop down
list in the advanced tab select dvd quality or another then apply

right click on the speaker icon in the bottom toolbar select playback devices should be a green tick in the speakers if not right click select configure also check the communications tab make sure the are not muted

Hi i have same sound card and had the same problem finding a driver which works. I finally found one which works perfect and put it on sendspace to share with others. http://www.sendspace.com/file/mdumt3 click on the regular download button otherwise it will ask for money. 1st Download Driver Creative Driver for Sound Blaster

• Go to the control panel
• Click on the System Icon
• Click on the Hardware Tab
• Click on the Device Manager then
• Select the Multimedia Controller or Audio Control the yellow Question Marks sign on it.
• Right click on Multimedia Controller and uninstall it.
• After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
• Driver installation Wizard start.

Creative Sound blaster cards are plug and play cards, they generally installed on PCI or Expansion slots of your motherboard,so there is no question of cables.First check your speaker and audio properties of your PC.If it is correct check your speaker audio pin make sure that pin is firmly inserted on your sound carder line out.If it is also correct,remove side cover of your pc cabinet,then take out the sound card and reinstall on another PCI slot of motherboard.I think it solves your problem.if it is not may be problem with your Creative sound Blaster audio card.
