Number 13 and 22 is the parts I suspect.

13 is the ignitor which even if it glows could be weak, It must pull at least 3.5 amps to open the gas safety valve. The spark module(number 22) could also be weak and not putting out enough juice to light them burners. Seen it.

My maytag mgr5729adw gas range oven omits a strong gas smell when attempting to preheat. Sometimes it heats sometimes it doesn't but use to get a small boom when igniting. Ignitor still glows oran

see the next steps and proceed with common sense: God bless you
Main Control / Oven Switch
The main control or oven switch may have failed. You will need to identify the wires from the switch/control that lead to the igniter that is clicking. These wires may pass through the spark module and change colors. Refer to the wiring diagram or tech sheet. If you have power leaving the switch/ control when in the off position replace the switch /control. Manual switches can be tested with an ohmeter.

Spark Module / Igniter Module
If your oven igniter keeps clicking the igniter module or spark module is the likely problem. First be sure the igniter is clean and the surrounding contact points are clean. Make sure power is off when cleaning. If the oven keeps clicking after it's cleaned and the oven switch / control checks good replace the spark module.

Oven wontr come on, but broiler does//

you have a bad ignitor part number 74007498 and it's around 65 dollars.pull out the racks and remove the floor of the stove and you'll see the ignitor screwed to the burner tube, wet the screws with a wet paper towel, they will come out easier or if it makes it any easier remove the tube and then remove the ignitor.first start the stove if the ignitor glows but doesn't ignite the flame in 40 seconds or less it's bad,if it doesn't glow at all check it for continuity but it sounds like the ignitor is bad,if the new ignitor comes with wire nuts, cut the wires close to the body of the old ignitor, trim some of the wires back on the new ignitor and wire nut them together with the ceramic wire nuts,on some you can get the screws out of the ignitor, cut the wires close to the body, mount the new ignitor, trim back the wires on the new ignitor and wire nut them together and you're done,it doesn't matter how long the wires are just as long as the wire nuts are under the floor and away from the tube.it might help to remove the bottom draw to get at the wires, hope this helps and good luck.

Whirlpool gas oven will not heat

most likely you have a bad ignitor, pull out the racks and remove the floor to the stove, turn on the bake,if the ignitor glows but it takes more than 40 seconds for the flame to light you have a bad ignitor even though it glows and if it doesn't glow at all the ignitor is bad, also if the broil lights on top and the bake doesn't change out the ignitor.next time send the model number and i can look up your machine to help you better.

Our GE profile oven model JGsp31wet1ww oven will not heat up. When i set the oven to say 400 degrees, it just stays at 100 and never heats up. The broiler seems to work fine and the stove top gas burners...

pull out the racks and remove the bottom floor of the oven, turn it on bake,if the ignitor doesn't glow most likely it's bad,if it does glow and it doesn't ignite within 40 to 60 seconds the ignitor is bad.even though it glows doesn't mean it's good,it works by amps.it takes 3.2 amps.for a flat ignitor to open the gas valve and 2.5 amps for a round ignitor to open the gas valve.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Oven won't light, but the stove top burners are fine. Don't smell any gas or any indication the oven is attempting to light....

next time send the brand name and model number so i can look up your machine,if it's a gas stove most likely it will be a bad ignitor, even if the ignitor glows it still could be bad,if the flame doesn't ignite and the ignitor is glowing change it out,if it isn't glowing pull out the ignitor and check it with a meter, common problem.

Oven Problems Replacing the Igniter

Stove top ignitors do not ignite but oven does.

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.

Maytag MGR6775 Gas stove. One igniter not working.

Clean the burner with a wire brush around where the ignitor is. it needs a proper ground to ignite. When you turn the burner on do you hear a click click click? If so this should solve the problem.

Oven not lighting on Amana model agds902ss

Helloemauldin Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,

When you turn the thermostat on your range on it sends 120 volts to the bake valve and ignitor. The bake valve and ignitor are wired in series and the ignitor draws all the current and heats up. As the ignitor heats its resistance changes and when it is cherry red the current switches to the gas valve and it opens. The amp draw on the ignitor needs to be 3.2-3.6 amps for the gas valve to open. The gas valve has gas to it at all times. The gas valve should open within 40 seconds after the ignitor starts to glow.
If the ignitor is glowing red and the gas valve doesn’t open the ignitor is usually the problem. Sometimes the ignitor will glow red but the resistance doesn’t change and the gas valve doesn’t draw the current.

This is not a do it your selfer!

All 4 ignitors just stopped working on the stove top...no more 'clicking' sounds

1 Check to be sure unit is properly connected to power supply.
2 Check for a blown circuit fuse or a tripped main circuit breaker.
3 Check to be sure ignitor is dry and clicking. Burner will not light if ignitor is damaged, soiled or wet. If ignitor doesn’t click, turn control knob OFF.
4 Burner ports may be clogged.
