It is caused by the camera not reading the memory card properly. Try removing the memory card, then insert it again, wiggle it a bit. Of it still won't work, try cleaning the gold parts of the memory stick, using an ordinary pencil eraser.

Goodluck!

Hello and Welcome to Fixya!

C:13:01 memory stick error message indicates a Self diagnostic message. In C:13:01 the issue may be with the Internal Memory or with the Memory Stick.

To solve it try the following solutions

Format error with the Internal Memory which can be corrected by formatting the Internal Memory.
If it is issue with memory stick then turning the power off and on again or taking out and inserting the "Memory Stick" several times may help in resolving the issue. Error may be because of Unformatted "Memory Stick" which can be resolved by formatting the Memory Stick in the Camera If it not remove by formatting in the camera then connect it to PC and tried to format it again but either FAT instead of FAT32 which is the regular format and then reinserted the memory stick and formatted it with the camara. Internal memory formatting error to sony DSC-T2 camera error c:13:01

Hi,

In DSCT2 Camera, the C:13:01 error message indicates a Self diagnostic message. This message can be clearly identified by the help of a Sony Authorized service technician. Each of these codes indicates the symptoms and resolutions of the Camera. In C:13:01, the issue is with the Internal Memory or with the Memory Stick.

The Symptoms are:

1. Format error with the Internal Memory which can be corrected by formatting the Internal Memory.

2. Unformatted "Memory Stick Duo" which can be resolved by formatting the MS in the Camera.

3. "Memory Stick Duo" is broken or not compatible which can be resolved by inserting a new compatible MS.

4. There may be an issue with the Hardware part also, which can be resolved by the technicians.

Try turning the power off and on again, or taking out and inserting the "Memory Stick Duo" several times may also help in resolving the issue.

Thanks.

13:01 error

Hi,

The C:13:01 error code indicates the issue with the Media used in the Camera.

This may be due to the:
Format Error of the Internal Memory.
Un-formatted Memory Stick Duo.
Broken Memory Stick Duo.
Memory Stick Duo type error.
When the Camera cannot Read or Write the data in the Memory Stick Duo.

This can be resolved by Formatting the Internal Memory and Memory Stick Duo.
If not resolved, try inserting a new Memory Stick Duo which is supported.
Try power resetting, remove and reinsert the Memory Stick etc.

This will resolve the issue, if not the Camera may require service.
