I just got a Swiss Legend Commander rubber bracelet watch. I can get the correct time and date set on the watch but i cannot get the second hand to start moving. It has the center crown button that pushes in and screws down. You unscrew it and it springs out then you pull out one time to set the date and twice to set the time. Thats about as much info i can find on the Swiss Legend website.

SOURCE: I need to have the bracelet of a Swiss legend

There is a store called Fast Fix jewelry and watch repair. I believe they have locations in california. They are usually in the mall. They can size watch bands. A good quality jewelry shop might be able to. And you might just look in the phonebook for a watch repair shop in your area.

Most bracelet adjustments require a special tool that is only found in a jewelry store, or your watch can be shortened by the manufacturer. Many watches have pins that push out if you look on the back of the band there should be arrows the pins push in that direction if you have something small enough to fit it the hole, be very careful to put the pin back in the same way. Occasionally some watch bands are not pins they are screws and it can be very difficult to tell the difference between the two. If the watch band has a screw it requires a very small screwdriver and you must be careful NOT to strip the screwhead! You can also shorten some watches by just moving the pin in the band buckle if you have a small tool you should be able to do this yourself, BUT wear glasses because pins will spring out, keep pointed away from your face. Hope this helps!

I have Swiss legend challenger and it's new. How do you get the second hand moving.

Sorry...

New or not SWISS use the second hand as an early indicator of the battery state.

My memory is that it starts by skipping seconds...
Then the second hand stops...
Then the watch...

ELSE
The movement is bad.

If it is INDEED NEW... Take it back & get
yourself a fresh one.

How do I set the day of the week dial on my Swiss Legend Chronograph?

If the day will not change when you pull the crown out to the first position (try both directions) then pull the crown out to the second position. Advance the hands until yesterday shows in the day window. Now set the date by putting the crown in the first position and set it to yesterdays date. Now advance the hands (position 2 until the date and day change and then set the time. Done

Hi, I have a swiss legend Commander watch with a rubber band. It is white and really needs cleaning. Also, it is coated with a rose-gold plated material on the bezel. Any ideas on how I can clean...

mcdevito75 here, For the Bezel (top part of the watch) the best bet is to use a jewelers polishing cloth available at any jewelery shop. For the white rubber strap, a few drops of water with a light hand, or dish washing soap on a wet paper towel or cloth should do very well.

Setting date on my swiss 200M women's watch

mcdevito75 here, If your watch has a stem (winder) it is most likely 2 position, Pull out stem to first position, this should allow you to change the date, set the date at 1 number before the actuall date you want, NOW pull the stem out to set the time, rotate the hands until you have the date and time for the actuall date.

Swiss g10-211 movement doesnt keep time runs when it wants to

This movement wasn't meant to be repaired, so replacement is your only option. These pop up new on eBay from time to time for around $30 shipped. Make sure you get one with the date in the correct orientation/position (e.g. date at 3 o'clock or date at 4 o'clock). Best to enlist the services of a watchmaker if you haven't removed and replaced hands on a watch before (particularly a chronograph).

I can not change the date on my Wenger Swiss Military Watch. How can I do this?

As you pull the mainstem out, there will be a position, a 'notch' if you will, whereby as the hour and minute hands are rotated the date will change. Rotate ONLY clockwise, and when the desired date appears, be sure to turn an additional 360 degree turn on the hands if you are setting the date in the afternoon. Otherwise, the date will lag by 12 hours.
