Just convert the 1 and 1/2 to a fraction and then multiply the top and bottom (numerator and denominator) by 5 to see that fraction in tenths.

Multiplying both the numerator and the demominator of a fraction by the same number does not change the value of the fraction.

1 1/2 is the same as 3 / 2

Now multiply both top and bottom by 5.

3 / 2 = 15 / 10

Therefore there are 15 tenths in 1 1/2.

Good luck I hope this helps.

Joe.

7805.37 rounded to the nearest tenths

7805.4

The 3 is in tenths place. The 7 is in hundredth place. 5 or above in the hundredths place rounds the tenths place up by one tenth. The .3 becomes .4.

8.81" is what in tenths? Please indicate exactly how in simplest form to calculate.

Well 8.81" is in tenths, 8 is the whole inches while .81 is .01 over 8 tenths of an inch as many rulers I have seen carry tenths this would be a say half a line division more from the eight tenths point.

you may do better converting it to mm which would be 22.3774cm or 223.774mm with a simple inch to cm multiplier of 2.54 though this I think is rounded up.
If you want a non metric answer then you are in small fractions which I have not seen used much for many years in general practice 32nds 64ths and 128ths is the highest I have seen but that was many years ago.

Hope this helps...............

6.5km rounded to the nearest tenth

You need more information to round to the nearest tenth, you need the hundredths column.

For example, if the number was 6.54, we look at the number beside the tenth column, the hundredths column. If it is 4 or less, we round down and don't add one to the tenths column and the result is 6.5.

However, if the number was 6.55, the number beside the tenths column is 5 or greater, we add 1 to the tenths column and get 6.6.

Good luck.

5.5 to the nearest tenth

5.5 is already the nearest tenth. The nearest tenth is rounded from the second decimal such as 5.52 - the nearest tenth is 5.5.

How do I round the decimal remainder to the nearest hundredth place? Round .11

After the decimal the digits are tenths and then hundreths (reading from left to right).

So rounding down to the nearest hundredths would be .10

Just got it out of the box. Second hand resets to 11:58 rather than 12:00 and the tenth of a second counter has a wobble in it and stops counting after 30 seconds.

to zero out the second hand pull the stem out to either the first or second position and then use the top and bottom butttons to zero it out. please rate my solution

The odometer has 6 digits...no tenths. Below is 71,723 miles.
