I had a similar problem ... mine was related to a hole in the pressure switch hose (code E22). Inside the washer, there is a pressure switch that senses how full the tub is. It does so using air pressure at the bottom of the tub -- air hose gets "pushed on" by the filling water and causes the pressure to spike in the switch. If you develop a leak in the air hose, the pressure switch never gets flipped. A safety feature engages if the water runs for more that 8 minutes without the pressure switch flipping. E22 is one of the codes related to this event. Easy way to see if this is an issue is to run a diagnostic test.
