Hi dbb divine...

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
ONE MORE BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

Update songs in IPOD

After your iPod shows up in iTunes, highlight your iPod if it doesn't automatically come up. Then on the first tab labeled Summary, under Options click the box that says Manually manage music and videos. Then you can highlight all the songs in your library that you want to add to your iPod and drag them onto the iPod. The files already on your iPod will not be overwritten.

How can i erase old music and video files from my apple ipod video 30 gb black?

You would need to plug the iPod into your computer and run iTunes. iTunes can be downloaded here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you didn't get a cable for the iPod when you bought it, you can get one here: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-M9126G-A-Data-cable/dp/B00009KO0D
If the iPod had a security code on it, using it on your computer with iTunes will unlock it. iTunes will automatically detect the iPod and bring up a menu. It may ask you if you want to erase the files on it. If it doesn't, you will be able to delete the files through iTunes.
