I have been given a Samsung BD-P1600 (xeu) blu ray player.\r\nThe issue it has is no response from the remote(it IS working OK) and the word 'LOAD' on the front and on/off,open /close functions only.Help...........
The drawer opens on the player panel i want to know why the remote won't operate the player at all. (the blue light on the remote does flash).Also there seems to be a firmware issue with this player ( maybe from being updated with sansungs corrupt upgrades.How come they hav'nt sorted a sollution out for this yet? Try to use a toothpick and put it on the small hole just beside the player so that you could remove/insert discs. Play it manually if the remote did not work...

On fornt of the player you have the buttons for opreation.You can use these buttons to operate your DVD player with out remote.
I have attached a image for your BD-P1600 player so your reference
1.DISC TRAY :Opens to accept a disc. 2.DISPLAY :Displays the playing status, time, etc. 3.Remote Control Sensor :Detects signals from the remote control. 4.OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON :Opens and closes the disc tray. 5.SEARCH/SKIP BUTTONS :Goes to the next title/chapter/track or goes back to the previous title/chapter/track. 6.STOP BUTTON :Stops disc playback. 7.PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON: Plays a disc or pauses playback. 8.POWER BUTTON :Turns the Blu-ray Disc Player on and off. 9.USB HOST:A USB memory flash stick can be connected here and used as storage when connected to BD-LIVE. It can also be used for firmware upgrades and MP3/JPEG playback.
