The dvd player side doesn't want to read all discs. Some it just flashes the loading and makes a clicking sounds, sometimes it loads up and freezes on dvds, it does this when i try to put in a cleaning disc so i can't get that to work. I tried blowing one of those air cans to see if some kind of dirt was inside the machine but it still won't work. All the dvds i've been working with play fine on my other devices except this one

The clicking is made by the laser head as it moves across the surface of the disk repeteadly trying to pick up the data signal and failing.
If it has used to work then it's clearly a dirt problem. If a cleaning disk has failed to work then the dust has gone all the way to the reading sensor. To clean it you will need top completely dismantle the unit access the optical mechanism, take off the cover and access the reading head - there blow with the can between the lens and the sensor then with a q-tip wipe the surface of the lens.

Dvd reading error

Try using a known-good (for instance, a movie you just watched on your TV). If it doesn't read that disc, make certain you have seated the disk in the drive properly (Laptop drives have a *CLICK!* when you have seated the disc properly). If that doesn't work- if the laptop is in warranty, get it fixed. If not, use an external drive to fulfill your media needs

Sony dvd player doesn't read disc says no disc when loaded

This would indicate the laser pickup assembly is the problem, try a DVD cleaning kit and follow instructions, if no change, far cheaper to replace the stereo.

Most times (90% or more) I input a DVD, the TV screen says Loading, and seems to be processing the DVD loading procedure, but then doesn't play the DVD -- it stays stuck on the Loading sequence. Any...

Hi,
Some DVD players cant read some DVD s and
then it shows either "loading" or " no disc"..

it generally happens when you want to play "A copied DVD/CD " taken from somewhere else..
Just to make sure that such DVD is ok ,you can try to run them on your laptop. If the disc itself has problem, laptop does not read either..
Just in case,quick remedy ,
pls Clean your DVD player's LASER lens .. A clean DVD player Lens ensures that your DVD disc would be read properly. Unfortunately, your DVD player's Lens accumulate as much dust and lint as the other parts of the DVD player. There are many available DVD lens cleaner kits that you can purchase and use to clean your DVD player.
YOUR DVD disc itself should be clean and finger prints free as well....
Here are three suggested DVD Lens Cleaner that should do the job of cleaning your DVD Player's lens.
Memorex Laser Lens Cleaner for DVD - This cleaner contains six soft brushes that gently remove dust, dirt and other airborne contaminants from your DVD player's lens. (Price: $6.09)
Maxell DVD-LC DVD Lens Cleaner - This DVD Lens cleaner features the "Thunderon Brush System" and include tests for audio performance including Dolby 5.1 surround sound. It also features an interactive on-screen instructions in 8 languages including system set-up. (Price: $10.81)
Allsop 23321 Carbon-Edge DVD and CD-Drive Cleaner - This DVD Lens Cleaner features an 8 brush carbon-system with carbon edge that removes static build-up from your DVD Players. It prevents skipping and also improves the sound and picture output of your DVD Player. ($13.11)

if this remedy does not help and if your set has still under warranty ,consult to service they may replace the LASER Reader EYE...most of the time Laser Eye malfunctions and does this..
if it is not under warranty ,never ,never have someone repaired it..go buy a new one,It will be cheaper.. ...

Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me

When loading a dvd it displays, "NO DISK". Is it

Hello
There are mainly three motors for most of the DVD players. One to spin the disc we insert in, other to load the laser pickup unit to-and-fro inside it to read the disc and an other one to load the tray mechanism 'in-out'. According to your description, the disc spins inside, and you can hear its spin. So motor which spins the disc has no trouble at all I should say. Then comes to the second motor that moves the laser assembly inside it. If it do not work, the laser pickup unit won't move and no reading will take place and 'No Disc' display will be the result. The last chance is with Laser Pickup Unit itself. Just get this unit repaired by any well experienced service technician or by the authorised service center, because, there are special tools to open this unit. As it is a compactable one, more care should be given to it while repairing. Suspect the second motor I described earlier, and the Laser Pickup Unit. OK.

Samsung dvd player does not read dvd disc.it reads "no disc".

I also have a Samsung Dvd player. If it is a dvd you burned yourself it may not recognize the disc. If you have loaded a purchased or rented disc and it still won't load, I would say the head is dirty or the unit is defective. I would try a head cleaner first.available at most electronics stores If that doesn't work you probably will need to send it in for repair.
good luck
