Canon Copier NP 1020 - error code E0

Have an older Canon copier NP 1020. Error code E0 flashes when turned on. Do not have an Owner's Manual or Service Manual. Have been told it might be a "fuser code". Something for the heating element. Need to know what this code is. Where is it located and how to repair? Would a service manual for a 1010 work with a 1020?

Been searching the net in feverously for a service manual in vain. Thanks so much for any help.

Regards, Mark

Pretty much the same, the codes are good for several models not just one.

you need to find the other numbers to know exactly which code it is, press the start or stop key to see it display the other #'s.

fuser is on the left side if you replace the parts might as well replace the claws and oil roller.

How can i reset my selex gr 1020 error code E001 once I turn on the unit the error will appear like E0 after 2 second 01 again then automatic turnoff the machine

A Selex is a old Canon NP 1020 copier. If I remember Selex is the government version of a Canon. The only way to rest the code is to repair the problem first. Odds are the fuser lamp is blown, it looks like a candy cane. It also could be the thermal fuse or the thermistor or it could be all of them. You may have a had time finding the parts. I was factory trained on this model 23 years ago. Good Luck

Older Canon Copier PC-6re

Then Error code means that the fuser / fixing Lamp is blown or it could be the thirmal fuse is blown. It could also a bad thirmister, that may have caused the fuse to blow. One thing you can look at, will the fixing unit get warm or hot. Do you know any copier techs, as a friend. It is not a easy job to fix this problem. You have to fix it to clear it.... Good Luck

Canon NP 1215s photocopier error code E0

did you check thermistor, I think that you have a problem with thermistor, not only thermoswitch! what about black copy - did you check is expo lamp (under the original glass) is lighting or not, if not - it's normal to have a black copy!

Success!

CANON NP 6012 ERROR CODE

Most likely it is the fuser unit.
as soon as you turn on it does not rotate it gives you an error and turns off.
take out the fuser (where it gets hot at the exit) and check hte lamp (probably burnt out)
or the fuse

Error "E0" on a Canon NP 7130

E000 on a 7130 is a lockout error it needs to be reset. you need to remove the control panel remove the 2 screws that attach it to the body on the left and right sides open the **** shell and pull toward you. Flip up on the top of the unit with the circuit board facing you look for two metal jumpers labeled jp103 and jp104 short across the 2 with a small screw driver to enter service mode( can be verified by an "F" in the display) power down the copier reinstall the control panel and reboot. If the fixing assembly is good the error will be cleared
