it is a common sotware fault with all sony erricsson and other phones its the software what the companys put on aint all that its cracked up 2 be i would recomend a re-flash if that fails then take it back to your provider

u can download free software from sony-ericcson's main site by accessing it from u're phone's software folder (there's a icon to go the software page)

this is a software glitch
same thing happened to me
you must update your software with latest sony drivers for w995
go to sony ericcson update service

OK i have just fixed my W995 that also came up with No network coverage out of the blue. Also when i went to charge it it said i needed a SE battery.

All this problem is, software. Yes simply all your phone needs is a software update. Sony Ericsson are known for disconnecting peoples phones if they do not have the latest software.

I had the same problem. Solved it by downloading the latest firmware from SE and then installed it on to the phone.

change the antenna of your unit, if it doesn't help, your unit needs reformatting or reprogram.
