Dvd will not load. - Sylvania SDVD8732 Player

The loading mechanism has the trouble. The inserted CD or DVD does not engage into the laser assembly unit properly. It may be due some fault with its loading motor or loading belt. Check these.

Either its loading belt in the DVD mechanism, or its loading motor has damaged. It is common that the loading belt will get loos of break. Loading belt is a small belt fasted between loadin motor to loading gear mechanism. Replace the same first. You have to open your TV and pull out the DVD mechanism outside for repair. If replacement of loading belt doesn't help, loading motror is faulty, and should be replaced. OK.

It has problem in dvd loading mechanism which is not load completely and mean while system control IC waits for complete loading signal and than produce eject command.
You need to open top cover and check closely its DVD Loading Mechanism, might be loading belt slips.

unscrew you're dvd to get the disc or go to the nearest service center.

My recorder has stopped accepting NEW DVD-RW discs and ejects them.
There is no problem loading DVD-R (new or recorded)or loading previous recorded DVD-RW, initializing and re-recording
I have tried several different DVD-RW makes. Puzzling??
