I have a samsung LN-S3238D lcd tv. the unit is approx 3 - 4 yrs old. last night when watching tv the tv shut off by itself and will not turn back on. normally when the tv is shut off, the red led light is still on. since the tv shut itself off, the red led is no longer lit. i even unplugged the unit from power supply, let sit for a while and plugged back in. tv still won't turn on any suggestions ? thanks, Dan Herget

Try changing to another mains plug before changing fuse.

Hi replace the fuse in the wire connecting the mains plug. It's generally located within the 3 pin plug.
If you are lucky it maybe just a fuse blown out.

Hi andrew, its not a big problem.. Decent TV. but the pixels are DEAD. that means you have to recover them by fixing the LCD. this would cost you around £40-60 for a 32 inch TV. hope this helps!

hello, Normally the power supply board has to be replaced. It is cheap if you do it yourself since you only pay for the board. These sites normally sell them, shopjimmy.com or discount-merchant.com

The back light inverter board may have gone out or it is not getting the 24vdc from the power supply module. Start checking for voltage feeding the inverter board.
