There is a switch on the side of the fan motor housing. Slide it the opposite way to reverse it. Make sure you wait until the fan comes to a complete stop to do so. Never reverse it while it is running, you could overload the motor and ruin it.

I believe they don't put the reversing switch on any remotes for that very reason.

Check the manufacturers label.
If this item was made in a foreign country, parts are just about never available in the United States.
If your fan is like the one pictures, they are not repairable, they are to be used until the break, then are to be discarded.
I hope this is not the case for you.

there is a switch(black) between the blades and the light fixture, this reverses the directions of the fan blades. hope this helped Tim

We have a hampton bay ceiling fan model 54cvt. We cant figure out how to change the light bulb or change the direction of the blades. We dont have a manual for the fan.
This fan is also known as the Hampton Bay Covington 54 Ceiling Fan. You need to turn the globe anti clockwise until it comes out. The full instruction manual can be found here.
