Sony offers PMB software instead of Picture Package that does same job. Click Sony Support link and follow the instructions to download/ install PMB for your camcorder.

I lost my software installation CD of sony handycam Model dcr-trv 285e.
Hence I am not able to transfer the pictures from handicam to Laptop.
please guide me how to download the software so that I can transfer
