HP 6310 I had printer installed on a Dell laptop...worked beautifully. Bought an IMac and attempted to install it on that computer as well, but when I tell it to print, all it does is spit out page after page of blank sheets then a couple of pages of numerical gobbeldy-gook. ???

When you install the printer wait till you are prompted to hook up the usb cable. If you hook it up sooner that is the problem. You can have the usb cable to printer but not to the computer. Then run your install disc and you should be fine.
You can log on to the hp site and get the current driver/printer software for your printer. Get the mac os version and install via usb. Download and install then restart your imac... then attempt a print... Should work fine with an iMac. K
