probably virus problem....reload phone operating system and then try to install Skype..........it might work....Do remember that recently Skype has been upgraded.....I experienced that it does not support windows 7 phone( I tried it on samsung omnia W which has windows 7 operating system which was upgraded to windows 7.8).....It is possible that new version of skyp does not support even Symbian phone(Nokia E5 is a Symbian phone) look in Features sec below. Also note that if u try to sign in using older Skype version , you will not be able to sign in.
New Skype version works on windows 8 or windows 8.1 phones
. I have tried it on Lumia 625,lumia 630, lumia 720 and lumia 925. All have windows 8 operating system upgraded to windows 8.1.

Skype won't launch for me. I have a Macbook Core Duo 2.0 with 2GB RAM. Skype worked fine until I had a system crash (kernel panic). I restored my OS X 10.5.5 from my back up and everything is working fine xcept Skype. Since then it won't launch. It bounces on the dock twice and stops. I reinstlled Skype and removed all preferences and the Skype user folder, but it has not changed anything. I've repired disc permissions, but it hasn't helped.
Any suggestions?
I have skype account and but I am unsure how to start a chat. there was icon on my desktop i accidently deleted it. when ever I log in on skpe website in comes with all other option but chat. I am not sure what actually happend.
I down loaded the application. I then added the file to the application folder.
I then doubled clicked the file in the application folder. It asks for a name and password and then states that the password or name is invalid. I have hopefully removed all files related to Skype. If you want me to become a customer please help. It appears there are a lot of people having problems with this service.
Thanks
same problem....downloaded, etc. and says my password isn't valid....very frustrating.
Help, please.
Same behavior. I just installed Skype on an iBook 800 MHz G3 with OSX 10.4 (Tiger). Double-click on it after dragging it to the Applications folder.... nothing. It just does nothing.
Evereything else (MS Office, Photoshop, FireFox, Thunderbird, Audiology, etc) all works fine.
I tried Skype out on PCs a year or so ago, and it also acted flakey. Hey, what do you expect for free?
When it works, the audio is pretty good, but overall, Skype is just a junky "web chat" app, like AOL Messenger and all the rest.
Same problem. Icon bounces once or twice and disappears. Nothing else. Someone, anyone? Too bad those out there who know what the fix is aren't searching to help us fix it. If I find the fix, I'll surely and happily post it here.
