Salve La stampante Photosmart HP D5160 dopo l'accensione inizia a produrre rumori come ingranaggi che si graffiano ripetutamente nell'area vicino al cassetto di sostituzione delle cartucce, alla fine dopo alcuni istanti la stampante smette di fare rumore ed ? pronta per la stampa, ma ultimamente, dopo sopra, sistematicamente non viene pi? stampato e il punto esclamativo rosso lampeggiante rimane. Le cartucce sono originali e hanno una capacit? superiore ai 3/4. Spero in tuo aiuto il prima possibile. Grazie. Roberta

Please perform the following steps:

* Make sure the CD/DVD tray is closed.

* Double-click the HP Solution Center icon.

* In the HP Solution Center (for Windows OS, if you are using Mac please let me know), click the tab for the HP Photosmart 5100 series.
* Click the Settings button.

* Point to Print Settings.

* Highlight and click Printer Toolbox.

* After the Printer Toolbox opens, click the Align print cartridges button.

* Follow the on-screen prompts to align the cartridges and print an alignment page.

Hi,
remove and re-seat it.
calibration is automatic.

To print a test page try.
Press and hold the OK button.
Then press the left arrow key one time.
Release the OK button.

Printer tool box, use head cleaner, nozzle check.etc...
Replace the cartridge.

Replace all ink cartridges to get a successful alignment.

Did you peel the tape off of the cartridges?

A good self test page indicates that the printer and print cartridges are functioning properly. Something else is causing the print quality problem

reinstall the drivers

1. If the printer is not off, press the Power button to turn it off.
2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
3. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
4. Unplug the universal serial bus (USB) cable from the back of the printer, if connected.
5. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back into the printer.
6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
7. Press the Power button to turn the printer on.
8. Ensure that the memory card has been removed from the memory card slot.
9. Make sure plain paper is loaded in the In Tray.
10. Hold down the OK button and press the Right arrow button four times.
11. If the test page prints, re-connect the USB cable to the printer.

1st step - print a self test report Press and hold the OK button. Then press the left arrow key one time. Release the OK button. The test page prints OR Press the OK and Help keys simultaneously. The test page prints print the test pages 4 time minimum 2nd step - reset the printer If the printer is not off, press the Power button to turn it off. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. OR IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO SO THEN start - printers & faxes - click on the printer icon highlighted with a correct symbol ( ensure the proper printer is highlighted )- right click on the icon - properties - print test page option at the bottom of the properties screen. 3rd step - if the USB is connected to a USB Hub then disconnect it from the HUB and connect it directly to the wall socket.Make sure the USB cord is of the proper measurement as mentioned for the printer in the User Manual. 4th step - visit www.hp.com left side of the screen you shall see an option SOFTWARE & DRIVERS DOWNLOAD click on that in the next screen a tab comes up mentioning FOR PRODUCT enter PHOTOSMART D 5160 and hit enter / click on the arrow beside it choose the OS under DRIVER YOU HAVE OPTIONS LIKE - » HP Basic Driver (recommended) » HP Full Software and Driver (before downloading it uninstall the s/w & then download it )-DO THIS ONLY IF THE 1ST OPTION DOES NOT MAKE THE PRINTER FUNCTION FINE STILL ERROR PERSISTS : - replace if under warranty/service the printer in the service centre
