I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 1350 in the states and I am in Germany and it does not have any maps here for Europe

If you purchased it in the USA, it will have USA maps. If you purchase a Garmin GPS in Europe, it will have European maps. You will need to purchase additional maps for your USA unit to use it in Europe. Go to the garmin.com website and you can purchase the maps there.

Change country
Do you have the map checked (enabled) on the map screen? At the main menu, press the tools icon, then the map icon and then the map info button. You should see the Europe map listed. Make sure it is checked. If it isn't, then the map will be turned off. Once it is enabled you should be able to perform searches for places in Europe

You will need to go to Garmins Official website the link to the site is here either click on the link or copy and paste it into your web browser:

www.garmin.com

Look at the top right hand corner of that page where it says My Garmin click on that and create a new user account from there you can do your map updates or whatever you would like.

I have downloaded a map of Europe from the Garmin site into my microSD card of my garmin nuvi 1350. When I tried to check the map of Europe, it is not listed in the maps in info. How do I tick the map of...
You need to download the map to your computer first and then use "map install" to set it up on your micro SD card. You can get details of how to do this at http://www.fixya.com/support/r5628920-update_garmin_satnav_maps
Skip to the section on "If the map is too large to install to your satnav"

If you need to download the map again you can do so by logging into "myGarmin" Click on the myMaps tab at the top of the page. There you'll see the map name and under it in blue writing DETAILS. Click on "DETAILS" and it will bring you to a screen where you get the option to download it again. I hope this solves your problem.

Using Garmin Nuvi while traveling out of the US
Call Garmin at 800-800-1020...they will be able to direct you in this completely. You will have to hook up to your computer with the cable and probably purchase the Germany maps and download them to the unit. Either way, they will be able to help.

Going to Mexico and my garmin will not display it.
There are a variety of Garmin® GPS devices that come preloaded with mapping not just for the United States but also for Europe and Mexico. Any nuvi® that has 70 in the model number will have preloaded mapping for North America and Europe.

Example: nuvi 270, nuvi 370, nuvi 670, nuvi 770

Also, some specialty models will have preloaded mapping for North America and Mexico. These units include the nuvi 200 Mexico (p/n 010-00621-2A) and the Nuvi 260W Mexico (p/n 010-00656-37).
