We can record a greeting on our Norstar M7324 and play it back and it will give us the greeting that we just recorded. But when call our phone nuumber 636-536-3200 the greeting is our former bank name. How do we change the greeting on the Norstar M7324 so that outside callers calling in will here the new greeting "First National Bank", not the old one "Evank Bank"

Make sure you are playing the same greeting number you are recording

I would highly suggest to reset your phone so that the system will be refreshed and you will be able to do any changes on your phone.

You will need to remove the old message. There SHOULD be prompts. IF NOT try going to a very quiet room and hit record but do not say or make noise and this will record silence over the old and new message. Then attempt to retry.
ALSO - look for a 'reset' button and remove all batteries if you have power outage back up batteries.
Unplug the phone - and try again.
Here are the instructions from the manual:
To Change Your Personal Greeting:
1. Press the Check Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 981
2. Enter your password
3. Press the ADMIN softkey
4. Press the GREET softkey
5. Press the REC softkey
6. Press the PRIME softkey
7. Press the YES softkey
8. At the tone, record your new greeting, press the OK softkey to end your recording and then the OK softkey again to accept the new recording

You can have the messages change using the greeting time tables, or you could record a seperate greeting and manualy change it from the standard greeting to the holiday greeting and back again at your leisure.

Dial "Feature 980" and leave yourself a message.

Sounds like you shut the CCR tree down. Go to AA>table>1>CCR>chng>1>enable. that should take care of it

In order to record an alternate greeting, you sign into your voicemail. Select Admin, Select Greet, Select Choose (and select which greeting you would like to use eg..Prime or Alt) Once you select the greeting. The voicemail is set to use that greeting. To record that greeting, go back into Admin, Select Greet, Select Rec, and record and save your greeting.
