I have the same problem regarding invalid battery message and also getting a message that indicates unable to charge. The phone will only turn on if plug in to outlet. The problem sounds like your phone problem. How old are both the phoen and charger. Who is your carrier. Depending on the carrier you may be able to get the phone replace. If you have are ready purchase a new battery and it is still saying invalid charger more and likely it is the phone. Clean the battery connections with a toothbrush. Also Use can air to blow out the dirt in the charging port. Clean these areas out very well and you should be find. If not contact motorola and have them send you a replacement. If your still getting a invaild charger. You may even be able to get them to send you a charger.
there's a jumper solution to that problem. google..then type "v3i invalid sim" hardware solution. Then, follow the instructions. This method assumed you have soldering skills already. Hope this help.
your battery came of a non verizon phone verizon does this alot even with the charger they want you to buy from them only next time make shure its a verizon model battery good luck!
you can try to quickly remove the battery power by tilting the battery so the phone momentarily looses power when it restarts that will usually bypass the lock code. if that will not work then you will need a data cable one from a digital camera will do and a program called rsd lite to get into the seem of the phone to retrieve the lock code that way. the software can be found with a google search.
