How to reset setting of a dell 17'' LCD monitor

Please set the best resolution in the computer first whic is compatible with your monitor and then make a auto adjust from the monitor (Auto adjust button) or in the menu.

flashing menu control is locked again & again .how can i close it

Shimmering boxes and/or LCD screen has spots = this is due to Missing /broken Pixels.
- These are pixels that are permanently off and is a natural defect that occurs in LCD technology.

Kindly disconnect the monitor from the computer and power it on , if the screen is still blurry on the self test feature check , the monitor is bad.
You can press the menu button on the monitor and select Restore to Factory setting or Factory reset option. If the problem persists you can call LCD repair
