Hold down the center and menu buttons at the same time. If that doesn ot work...switch the hold over to hold and back off and try holding the center and menu buttons down again.

SOURCE: ipod frozen on language screen

I have been reading other posts and supposedly the problem with the language screen is that the link inside the ipod for the lock button has come unhooked and needs to be hooked back. I will post the link so you can read about it for yourself. I think this means you have to open up your ipod. Read some of the posts in this website for more info. No official word on fixing the problem. Just suggestions. http://www.command-tab.com/2006/03/31/fixing-a-frozen-ipod/

SOURCE: my ipod classic 80 gb wont restore and keeps clicking

Listen to the iPod when it is connected to the computer. Do you hear repetitive clicking sounds from the hard drive? If so, your hard drive is broken. It's not too hard to replace the hard drive yourself. Here is an iPod Repair Guide that shows how to open an iPod. Parts are easily available on Ebay. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to iPad Repair

When i got my ipod 5 32gb it wont go to the setup assistant and it goes straight to the battery and the battery is gone

Which is it an iphone or ipod touch 4 or ipod 5 32 gb ???
Reset an iPod 32GB
Resetting a 32 GB iPod touch is a frightening prospect.
The restoration process deletes all data, including applications, music, movies and everything else when the device is restored to factory standard condition.
Luckily, iTunes gives you the ability to back up your data before wiping the device clean.
This means if your device locks up regularly and is functioning poorly, or you've forgotten your password and you can't get in, you can wipe your iPod Touch clean and get things moving again.

Launch iTunes on your computer and connect your iPod Touch using the USB cable provided with the device.
Select your iPod from the "Devices" list in iTunes and click the "Summary" tab.
Click "Restore."

Click "Back Up" if you wish to back up your data before wiping the device clean.
This is your last chance to save anything that hasn't yet been backed up to your computer.
Click "Don't Back Up" if you would rather skip straight to the reset.

Click "Restore" and wait while iTunes formats your iPod Touch and reinstalls the factory standard software.
Click "OK" when the process is complete.

Leave your device connected to the computer while it restarts.
When it is again visible in the iTunes device list, the process is complete.

My ipod says there is no room in it but i only use about 7 gb so far and when i tried to resync it it freezes up my itunes. i've tried to reset it with the center button and menu but that doesn't work.

Connect your iPod to your computer, run iTunes, click on your iPod under "Devices" on the left side of iTunes, and click on the "Restore" button (towards the right) to restore your iPod. You will then need to resync your music and other media to the iPod.

Slide the switch on the top of the ipod to where it shows white instead of orange. If it is already off hold, then you may have a broken hold switch.

My ipod wont turn on

Hi,

If your ipod won't turn on then try these.make sure you click on the blue links for more info.

Make sure the Hold switch is off
  1. Check to see if the Hold switch is on. It's located on the top or the bottom of iPod. When it's in the on position, you'll see an orange patch.
  2. To turn the hold switch off, slide it until you no longer see the orange patch.
  3. Press any button to turn on iPod.

Make sure the battery is charged iPod won't turn on if the battery is empty. Instead, a low battery screen appears for about 3 seconds when you try to turn it on.
ts1383_2.jpg To charge your iPod, connect your iPod to your computer's built-in 6-pin FireWire or high-powered USB port or connect it to the Apple iPod Power Adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet. Note: iPod models without a Click Wheel cannot be charged via USB. iPod shuffle requires a high-power USB port to charge. iPod nano and iPod (5th generation) can charge via USB or FireWire, but they require USB to sync with iTunes. If you're not sure what iPod model you have, click here.
If you are connecting via USB and the battery is completely discharged, there may be up to a 30-minute delay before iPod powers up. Click here for more information.
Reset iPod If iPod still does not turn on or appears to be "frozen" you may need to reset it. When you reset iPod all your songs and files are saved. Some customized settings may be lost.
Let the iPod battery drain In rare cases, iPod might get into a state in which it needs to be drained completely before it can be reset. If iPod didn't turn on after you reset it, follow these steps:
  1. Disconnect iPod from all power sources and leave it disconnected for about 24 hours.
  2. Reconnect iPod to the Apple iPod Power Adapter or computer and reset it.
Update iPod's software If iPod turns on after you reset it, use the latest version of iTunes to update iPod.
