SOURCE: frigidaire washer model #fwt425rhso

the tub is mounted on shocks if you look in side the tub near where the tub seem is take the screws out of the vane and slide it foward and take it out look in the hole for foreign objects in between the inner and outer tub then follow this procedure to check the drain pump if you have a shop vac this is time to vacuum the water of the tub and all the way down the drain hole for the next stage usally i tell customers to remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vacuum the water out of the washer from the drain hose but because of the pillow this might not work in your case. Now remove the two screws on the front lower panel and pull the panel
in side you will see the drain pump if you did not have a shop vac go to the auto parts store and buy a pair of radiator hose clamps and clamp the hose line as close to the washer as possible.(but put down some towels as water always stays there) then pull the tub to pump hose by depressing the squeeze clamp(now while your at the auto parts id get a screw clamp to replace the spring clamp it makes putting the hose back on a lot easier)pull the hose off. Then pull the pump to drain hose off .Remove the two 5/16 in screws securing the pump to the washer base.Unplug the connector and remove the pump inspect the pump for foreign objects, broken or stripped impeller blades . if the impeller are stripped you will have to replace the pump then form the front of the washer take a piece of water hose with one end cut off and run it down the pump to drain end of the drain and reassemble the unit

sounds as if theres something stuck in your drain pump, youll need to remove the lower acess panel(2 screws across the bottom front of unit) you'll see teh pump in the rigth hand corner. i would remove as much water as possible before trying to remove the hose to the pump or you will get soaking wetaferer removig the hose youll be able tro see what trapped in oyu pump preventing free draining.. VERY common problem.DISCONNECT POWER THE DRAIN PUMP IS ALWAYS LIVE!!!!!!!!

SOURCE: Frigidaire front load washer won't drain or spin

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

SOURCE: frigidair washer will not drain or spin

MNM,

I suspect that your "lid lock" mechanism has gone to appliance perts heaven. If the timer "thinks" the lid isn't completely closed and locked, it'll shut everything down when it's time to spin and drain. It's a safety feature... I mean, you wouldn't want this thing spinning at full speed and have a 5 year old lift the lid and stick her paw in there only to have it torn out of the socket, would you? Yuck! (was that too graphic?)

Anyway, here's what I'll need you to do. You gotta get access to the lid lock and run a TEMPORARY bypass on it to verify my theory, OK? You'll also need to UNPLUG THE MACHINE BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE!!!! If you don't, you run a high risk of a funky new do and some time in the Hospital.
f531302.jpg

Click this link, you'll see a main picture and 4 "thumbnails"... I want you to look at the last one. It'll show you a micro-switch in detail. This is what I believe to be at issue and this is what we'll bypass for testing purposes. All you need to do to access it is remove the front panel.

Look at the lower right and left of the front panel, you'll see 2 Phillips screws there, remove them. Now grasp the front panel and pull straight down to unlatch it from its' clips. Then pull the panel toward you and set it aside. Now that you can see inside the cabinet, look to the top right and you'll see the lid lock. Since you've UNPLUGGED THE WASHER, you are not afraid to remove the 2 wires attached to the switch (shown in the link above).

Now that you have the wires off, you'll need to build a "bypass tool". My favorite (and the one I carry in my tool bag) is made from a paper clip. Take a paper clip and straighten it all the way out. Then bend it into a "U" shape. Starting at the bend, wrap it with vinyl electricians tape most of the way up to the exposed 2 prongs (leave about 1/2" exposed). Now take these prongs and insert one into one terminal and the other into the other terminal. Make sure they are firmly and completely seated.

Now plug the machine in and set it to spin. I suspect that it fired right up. If it did, we just verified the failed component... the lid lock assy. You can buy it online by plugging this number (134101800) into a search engine, or pick one up at a local appliance parts retailer.

IF, and only if, this didn't fix your problem, write back to me and I'll take the diagnostic a little deeper for you. Otherwise, please don't forget to rate this as "FixYa", OK? (It took me longer to write this than it would have to fix it, so show some love, K?)

SOURCE: Fisher and Paykel GW708F Screaming like a jet engine on spin!

Hi there

Yea if the machine sounds like a train going through the middle of your house when its on spin it will most definately by your seals and bearings, an easy way to check is lean the machine back onto something and look underneath if the main seal is leaking and the bearings are run there will be rusty looking residue on the motor rotor(the round thing in the middle of the drum), seals and bearings are fairly expensive to replace About $350NZD if no shaft is needed and up to $500NZD if a replacement shaft is needed.

I hope this helps you out.

Frigidaire CRTR9300ASO won't spin replaced door latch switch and still does not work

Hi bitemejohne - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. Since you have already replaced the door lock assembly then the washer may be experiencing other issues. It could possibly have a faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

My CRTR9300ASO Frigidaire Front Load Washer makes a loud thumping noise and moves slow spinning. Any ideas what might be wrong?

if you lucky, you have a broke shock absorber on the bottom. if your luck is not so good......well we will find out.

open the door on your washer. locate the big silver basket in the middle. put your hand in side and push up. now this will move but we are looking for it to feel very loose, not springy. if your luck is bad you will hear and feel it freely clunck around as if the inner basket is coming loose. if this is the case then you will be looking at a very expensive repair. like $350 and up

Jet engine??!!

Friend,
ngafm at your service!
How old is the washer?
It sounds like the tire out of balance syndrome!
Like a car tire that sings or vibrates when it's out of balance!
It may be a worm part thats spinning and you should call service and not take any chances, with this matter!
How long has it been sounding like this?

Loud noise during spin cycle

I bought the frigidaire affinity washer. It was quiet until it began the spin cycle, then it sounded like a jet taking off and began to bounce. Come to find out we set it up improperly. You must remove all shipping bolts on the back of the machine and make sure it is level. Ta Da!! it now runs perfectly quiet with little vibration.

Actually it's Frigidaire CRTR9300ASO Help Please

Your pump doesn't have a pulley. With the washer full of water if your put it on the spin cycle will it pump out water? If so pump is probably ok and the pressure switch thinks the washer is full of water and spends the whole spin cycle trying to pump water out. If not then your pump is plugged or bad and needs to be replaced.  If your dooe latch is bad your door lock light would not come on. So if it does come on in the spin cycle that part is probably fine.
