Intel DG41RQ Motherboard has two DDR2 (DIMM) sockets. It Support DDR2 800 or DDR2 667 MHz DIMMs. Since you already have a 667 MHz RAM, it is recommended that you add another RAM of the same specification (DIMM DDR2 667 MHz) However, if you add 800 MHz DIMM with 667 MHz, both would perform at 667 MHz. RAMs of different bus speed and latency usually work together but the performance is compromised. It is always better to have RAM in pairs of same specification.
Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya! CreativeTECH
If its one RAM den be sure it is 2 GB if 2 RAMS den please see that have you fixed the RAM properly..Try taking out the RAM and clean the lower portion with a clean Rubber/Eraser and dne fix it back properly..
ok the board supports up 2GB of ram but you can only use 2 slots at a time you cant use 3 or 4 slots as they are diffrent ram chips so to use the full 2GB you can only get away with either 1X2GB ram or 2X1GB ram
Go to nearly any of the sites selling memory and they have facilities that will ask you for make and model, then bring up your possibilities.
I'm not selling their brand in particular but this is a good place to start:

you need to find out what type of ram,and amount your motherboard takes (sd,ddr,ddr2,sod) and how many ram slots it has, the user manual of the mobo will tell you this information.if you dont have the manual search the net for it.
it is very easy physically on a desktop, you just push them in the slot ,taking note of the notches on the ram sticks, ensuring they lock down correctly, note if you are using ddr2 you need to install in pairs to obtain the full speed of the ram, things can be a little more tricky on laptops as some are easy to get at, and others you need to remove the cover of the entire laptop.
