Hello
Do not open the dishwasher until the cycle completes. A green indicator
light on the front of a Maytag dishwasher will let you know the cycle
has completed. If you open the dishwasher before the cycle is over,
close the door and press "Start/Resume."
Remove the knockout plug from the disposer inlet if the dishwasher is
connected to a food disposer. Place the tip of a screwdriver along the
edge of the knockout plug, which is on the side of the disposer. Tap
against the head of the screwdriver with a hammer until the plug comes
loose.
Inspect the drain hose for kinks. Make sure it is not bent or pinched in a way that would impede the flow of water through it.
Use your hands to clean food from the drain in the dishwasher. A
buildup of food can block the drain and not allow water to freely flow
from the inside of the dishwasher.
Open your breaker box and check to see that the switch that controls
your kitchen appliances is flipped to the "on" position. A switch
flipped to "off" means your appliance has no electricity. The
dishwasher will not drain without power.
Hi
The issue is with the water not draining as something might
be blocking the drain pump assembly thus the water is leaking. To solve this
issue you'll have to take the front lower access panel out and then clean the
drain pump assembly completely, also clean the impeller and chopper assembly
located at the bottom of the unit. After this is done the issue should be
resolved, if not then check the float switch mechanism and make sure that is
fine. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
