I cant't get bbc iplayer to play programmes: it comes up with: task queue failed at step 0: config empty. ITV player works perfectly but I prefer programmes from BBC. What can I do to solve this problem?

Check if there is a software update for the TV. That might resolve the problem if JVC knew there was a problem between their TVs and the BBC iplayer. Otherwise contact JVC to see if their is an issue which has not been sorted out yet.

I dont have a proper solution ,, sorry ,,i have the same problem since May 19th. From one day to the next ,, suddenly the bbc iplayer does not recognise my expat shield UK address ,, it keeps telling me "programmmes are not available in your area. But when i check on other sites where i am , my IP address is UK, and i can connect to itv player no problem. I have tried numerous times since then, and still no connection, i think Hotspotshield has done this deliberately,to force people to pay for the Elite service.I wrote to them (anchorfree) about this problem, but the answer is always about Hotspotshield ,,, they fail to recognise my question is about Expat shield,, useless support service.
Anyway my small solution at the moment is Hola unblocker(mozilla FF add on),, on some days it sticks a bit but most days it works fine

I have exactly the same problem, same error message. I first noticed the problem yesterday (September 11). Error message appears when trying to watch live TV through iPlayer. BBC News Channel works OK from BBC News website. Live sports broadcasts work OK through BBC Sport website. I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player but it made no difference.

the best thing to do is to manually install flash player. go to filehippo.com and search for flash player. install it from there. then try to install iplayer
