Whirlpool Duet GWH9100LW1 Frontloader problem

My Whirlpool GHW9100LW1 front loader washer machine has a problem about every three weeks or so. Water does not completely drain out of the tub and spills out onto the floor when the door is opened. How do you fix this problem?

My problem is similar except that when my washer is not in use, the tub will fill up with water (occasionally) or when sitting idle for prolonged periods. I suspect a faulty inlet valve but am not sure. Suggestions??

About three minuteds into the wash cycle the machine stops and a single "F" displays with no number on the error ind. Pushing the reset the machine will continue through the cycle until 11 minutes is left of the cycle and it stops. I must put the select switch to rinse-drain to finish the load...any ideas what kind of problem I'm looking for?

Found the tip on another thread of this site. Remove the 3 star screws located below the access panel that's below the door and clean the trap/filter to the left of the pump. Don't do like me and try to empty as much water first or you'll have an inch of water in your laundry roon when you twist off the cap.

Our model GHW9100LW1 Duet Whirlpool Front Load Washer has an intermittent H-F code, beeps and stops. Seems like it's worse with winter coming...20's to 40's outside...input water too cold or not enough...

H and F code flashing alternately could be one or more of the following items not working properly or bad:

- Flowmeter.
- Water inlet valve
- Water pressure switch. (last thing to replace)

Make sure to unplug power cord before you replace the part and also make to clean drain tube and filter every year.

2003 Whirlpool Duet Washer clear water pooling in drum after use.

When the machine is off, there are only two ways water could possibly enter. 1 Check the drain hose install, that it is not installed deep in the standpipe, if the hose is shoved too deep, it can sometimes siphon (rare with front loaders) water back into the machine.
2. Most likely cause, a slow leak from the water valve. Sometimes the water solenoid will not close completely, and you will get a very, very slow leak into the machine.
If not the drain hose, try shutting off the water supply valves when done using the machine, if that takes care of it, you may want to replace the machine's inlet valve.

Whirlpool Duet Washer (GWH9100LW1) Bangs Loudly during spin

how old iss your washer? do you have an owners manual. because usually there is an extended factory warrenty on the tub and basket. the only thing you would have to pay for would be the labor. Call whirlpool if you do not have a owners manual to find out. the bearing is compressed in the tub. does it sound like an airplain taking off in your house that's usually it.

Washing machine

If this is a whirlpool front load washer I have a model# GHW9100LW1 which has a filter at the front bottom of washer there is three screws to be removed then remove cover this should expose the water pump which has a cap on the front take hold of the grip and turn counter clock wise be sure to have a towel handy for there will probably be some water that will come out after loosening the handle all the way the filter part should pull out remove the trash and replace back in the pump note the filter will only go in one way re-tighten the nut and replace the cover that should fix the problem.
