Hi,
You should have a drivers disc that came with the laptop. Just install all the drivers from that disc so that your function keys will work again. Some laptops have drivers for keyboards and it includes the driver for its function keys.... But if you upgraded your operating system, like from Win XP to Win 7, you should download the driver from the asus website. here is the link for the Asus drivers
Drivers
just choose the correct version of windows that you're using right now.
hope this will help...

Function key not working

ASUSTek Computer Inc., or simply Asus, has been a leading innovator in computer hardware technology for the last 20 years. Taking the same precision and care in its hardware manufacturing, Asus has been making quality laptops, desktops and servers for the last several years. With a selection of on-board functions in their laptop series, certain keys can malfunction during system updates and software changes. Use the function key (Fn) located at the bottom right of your keyboard in combination with any of the F keys located at the top of your keyboard. If none or only some of the combined command keys work together, then there is an issue with the ATK Drivers. An update of these drivers will eradicate the issue. Navigate your browser to the Asus support site, linked in the references section below. This website will provide the tools necessary for driver update. Select the appropriate products from the three drop-down menus at the top right of the support page. For the first box, select "notebook," the second box select the series notebook that you are using and for the third box, select the corresponding model. With all three selections, hit the search box located underneath these product selections. When the popup window appears, choose your corresponding operating system. Once chosen, hit search. A list of file types will appear with corresponding selections for driver updates. Click on the "+" box located next to the file type ATK. This will generate a list of all the appropriate driver types associated with this particular function. Locate the driver description "ATK Hotkey Utility" and click on "Global(DLM)". This will open another pop-up and your driver download will begin. Once the selected device driver has finished downloading, a prompt to launch the application will appear in the popup box of the download manager. Select "launch" to unpack the zip files using the Winrar software. Make note of the folder in which the unpacked driver setup is sent. Locate the Setup file that was just unpacked and double-click for activation. This will initiate driver setup of the driver that has just been downloaded and restore the function of the Fn key. Follow the instructions once setup has initialized. Once setup is complete, you will be asked to restart your system so that all changes and driver updates can take effect. Close all programs and perform this final step to complete driver setup. The function key on the Asus keyboard should now be restored to its intended use. Hope this helps.

Several of my keys on my Asus netbook are not working. What could be the problem?

The keyboard is possibly the problem on this issue, try and go into safemode see if the keys will not function as well from that point, if the keys still do not function in safemode then this is a possible keyboard hardware issue.
But if the key respond in safemode, reinstalling windows may fix the problem.

Asus V6J reset cmos button please

The computer should show you a key to hit to enter the setup. Nomally the keys may be F2, F10, DEL, or some other key.
If your computer does not even give you any display, then you can't enter setup--it's failing the POST which means it won't work at all.
In a laptop, you could take it apart far enough to find the CMOS battery and disconnect it to reset the CMOS, but I'm thinking you might have a hardware problem here--like maybe a motherboard.
One thing you can do is unplug it, remove the battery, then reinstall the battery, plug it in and try again. In a laptop, anything further will require dissembling the case.

Asus v6j bricked bios flassh gone bad, i need help to reset, pulling battery not working.

Did you pull the Cmos battery. Also on the mother board should be a switch or a jumper that should reset the Bios, or shock it out of its brick state.
