No...once they are stretched out, usually caused by softening of the track material due to water chemistry issues, the only solution is new tracks.

Belt keeps burning off

Be sure the brush roller spins freely. Tear apart the end caps and get the carpet string and hair out of it for better performance and longer belt life. Nothing much else it can be.

Track sliping

Adjust walking belt tension at the front of the unit using the provided hex wrench on the exposed adjustment bolts located on each side of each front roller. Be sure to adjust both bolts on each roller the same amount as to not disrupt belt alignment. Tighten (turn clockwise) each adjustment bolt in full turn increments. After each adjustment, restart unit and check to see if belt slippage has been eliminated. Repeat if necessary. If slipping feel persists after several adjustments, stop and see if it maybe the drive belt. Remove left rear plastic cover to expose “v” belt drive line and motor. Tighten nut on the motor tension bolt located on front side of motor in 1/2 turn increments until drive belt slippage is eliminated - DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Replace cover when finished.

Treadmill belt keeps slidding to the side

Here are two solutions one is to get the belt centered on the treadmill and the other is to tighten the belt.

There should be two bolts in the rear of the treadmill, one on each side. These bolts adjust the rear roller of the treadmill. The walking belt will always go to the side that is looser. To get the belt back on track, (if you can start the treadmill so the belt is running) tighten the bolt on the side that the belt has slipped to. Tighten the bolt a little bit at a time. If you tighten the bolt too much, then the belt will go to the other side.

To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns.

New feed belt will not track evenly. Belt is loose on left side & tight on right, but if I tighten the left side to pull it flat, it tracks off to the right immediately. I tried reversing the belt in...

Could be the belt, sometimes they get glued together wrong and they don't track, or its the tension wheel/ track wheel.

It looks like one of the stationary rollers might have a small adjustment
that you can do, hard to tell looking at the diagram,

but if you can adjust this tighter on the right side it should track the belt back to the left, so check and see if any of the rollers or holder of the rollers can be loosened and moved a hair to get the track to the left so the adjust track can make it track straight.

If you still have the old belt, put it on, if it works then there is a problem with the new one and it is not the machine.

How do i tighten my belt ..it goes from one side to the other

First check that the treadmill is level. Then adjust levelers if possible. Most treadmills will have a bolt at the rear of the tail roller one each side to adjust belt tracking. If it is tracking to the left tighten the left , for each adjustment on one side make equal and opposite adjustment on the other side to avoid over tightening the belt. 1/4 turn at a time

Sounds like bearing loose inrear of tread mill

It sounds as if your rear roller may have a bad bearing. The bearings themselves are not replacable. The entire roller must be replaced. You can find the parts lited on iconservice.com and enter EPTL09706 in the model number box under the "replacement parts" section of the site. This replacement can be done easily using normal home hand tools.

First remove power to the machine.

Second put the machine into space saver mode. (latched in the up position)

Third go to the rear of the machine and locate the 2 wheels on the rear. There is an allen screw with a nut holding the wheels in place.

Fourth there are 2 screws holding the wheel bracket onto the end caps of the machine.

Fifth there are another 2 srews holding the endcaps onto the frame assembly.

lastly you will be able to locate the two bolts holding the rear roller in place. First mark the bolts where they connect to the actual roller with something so you can see how far to tighten the bolts back onto the new roller. remove the old roller...install the bolts onto the new roller then tighten back down to the marks you made on the bolts.
reverse the process for removing the other brackets.

If after replacing the roller your belt is not straight you may adjust it by this procedure.
If the belt is tracking to the right Then access the right allen screw located on the rear of the machine that connects to the rear roller.
Rotate this bolt CLOCKWISE 1 full revolution. This should move the belt to the left.
Do the same procedure except on the left if the belt is tracking to the left.
Good Luck! Tim

Tool Shop Belt sander - can't align belt tracks to thee inside

The problem is that you have not set the adjustment properly. Back off the adjustment screws, slide on the belt and center it over both rollers, addust a little at a time both screws, after belt begins to tighten up stop adjusting. Turn the power switch on for about 1 second. Is the belt tracking? Adjust as necessary. Try the power again for longer and longer periods untill belt tracks in the center of the rollers. Tighten nuts to keep adjustment screws from backing out.

Title: Treadmill Belt Problem

determine which side is off centered

If the tread is migrating from the left you need to adjust the tension adjustment on the right and side of the roller and make it tighter

Most adjustments are made by turning a set screw that moves the idler roller ( the roller that is at the end of the tread mill which is where you first get on)

TO ADJUST:

1 TURN THE POWER OFF AND UNPLUG AT WALL OUTLET

2 Locate the adjustment screw( remember you will adjust the side opposite the migration to tighten the roller)

3 manually force the treadmill belt over toward the proper path( I do this by taking my hand and sliding my fingers under the belt and lift the belt as I hand roll it

4 Turn the adjustment screw counter clockwise one revolution

5 plug in then turn on and see if it stays in place

6 Keep repeating the process ( steps 1,2,3,and 4 )
