I have a Keurig special Edition with the XL reservoir purchased in April 2011. I use water purified with a reverse osmosis system. The amount of coffee produced is inconsisent from cup to cup. sometimes it makes a full cup, sometimes not. It could make a partial cup on one brewing and the very next cup will be full and vice versa. I typically refill the reservoir with a pitcher, not by removing it.

Dude, you're commenting the same thing on every post about Keurigs not working, but the link is dead...nothing comes up when I click it.

Does anyone else have the answer to this?

Very very common problem with these coffee makers. Try de scaling as said in the manual. If that doesn't work you just have to get a new one. These units are not well made they are pieces of junk. We bought a Cusinart KCup brewer it works ok for now

What is the difference between a water purifier and a water filter?

The main difference between the two is that water filters only remove parasites and bacteria from water, while purifiers removes these as well as potential viruses.

How does a water purifier work?

A water purifier works through the process of reverse osmosis. Water purifiers cleanse water by passing it through a series of filters. This helps remove large amounts of contaminants and other harmful chemicals

Is prime the same as descale

I knew the paperclip trick, I tried the air shot to reverse the flow of water. After running Vinegar and water through and letting sit overnight. I tried the air blast then make a cup, another blast X 4....though I get a good flow through the K-cup area, I still only get 2/3 cup of water.

Coffee brewing slow and makes a sound like it is loosing suction

If you haven't done so already, try running a cup or two of household (white) vinegar through it. Just pour room temperature vinegar into the fill reservoir. Follow with two full amounts of distilled water (not tap water) to clear the vinegar out. Then try to use ONLY distilled water or at least water that's been through a mineral filter. Calcium buildup from running tapwater through the small heating tube is what clogs up most coffee makers.

BTW, not all "purified" water sold in stores is distilled. It must be STEAM distilled to be true "distilled" water. Wal-Mart carries it. Other stores do, as well, but make sure the bottle actually says something like "steam distilled" on the label, otherwise it's probably only run through a filter. "Purified" water may also be treated by reverse osmosis, which removes some mineral content, but this is NOT steam distillation, the process which removes (almost) all of any mineral contaminant.

Coffee grinds on K cup holder

try removing the K-cup holder and inspecting the bottom hole opening. This is where the bottom of the K-cup holder would go through. Sometimes grounds can rest on that edge and fall into the coffee. I hope I could help!
