I have a failing WK3800 which I've had for less than 2 years and it has many problems: first I lost all the songs in the internal memory, then the keys 3, 6, 9, and + stopped functioning. Now my external rythym pedal doesn't work and for a while I was starting and stopping my rythyms manually by the start/stop button...now I can only stop the rythym by turning off the keyboard. I had it cleaned, but the problem remains. Supposedly it's one of the boards/tablets, but getting one in Mexico is next to impossible. HELP!!!!

It sounds like the actual button switches are going bad. Those would normally be replaceable id you can find an electronic tech that is competent. The internaal backup battery may be bad causing loss of the songs. One would have to look at the switches and find a substitute supplier. These switches are often very tiny about the size of a pencil eraser and are actuated by the larger buttons on the panels. You can probably find them at Digikey.com or Mouser.com. They typically cost about 30 cents each... Disassembly and desoldering and soldering qill be required. The internal parts of the switches wear out.

Radio Shack Midi Keyboard MD-4072. How to reset the sound please.

Have you ever changed the internal Lithium Battery. Try the reset here, although it is for a different model. The Keyboard was actually made by Casio and sold with the Radio Shack name on it.

REPLACING THE MEMORY BATTERY

Your keyboard uses one lithium battery to protect some types of data when it is turned off. This battery is installed at the factory,
and lasts up to 5 years. If the keyboard's memory is erased when you turn the keyboard off, take the keyboard to your local Radio Shack store to replace the lithium battery.

RESETTING THE KEYBOARD

Note: Resetting the keyboard clears all information you stored in the keyboard's memory, including the parameter settings, song
sequencer, pattern sequencer, and registration memory. Resetting the keyboard's parameter settings clears only those settings from
the keyboard's memory. To reset the keyboard, turn the power off.
Then hold down ENTER. Reset? appears. Press YES.

I have a Yamaha MM6 - only the piano category works - the wheel jogs through the voices. No other category works and no functions work. No lights are on apart from the display.

maybe this will help ...... I have a Korg M1 ..... it has a small button battery for maintaining memory and sounds .... mine lasted about 10 years ...... I looked up in Google how to change the battery .... I looked up in my M1 instructions how to reload the sounds .... I had lost all my synth sounds except the basic piano ...... I changed the battery and reloaded the sounds from a backup card I had bought years ago .... M1 works perfectly now .... you probably lost any saved songs .... contact Yamaha how to change the battery and reload the original songs .... any saved songs are gone .... next time, back them up ... good luck

I turned my Casio px575r on, after working fine for a couple of years, and get random synth sounds and volume blasts instead of the chosen sound.

You may be running out of internal memory. Try deleting, songs & SMF etc that you may have recorded to INF AFTER moving them to an SD CARD first.
IDES4 can also be used to move user tones etc and do a factory init.

I have a Kurzweil PC2x Keyboard that periodically resets itself to factory presets, purging all user data. I believe it has always done this. (I've owned it for years) Any suggestions?

There could be several reasons for your Kurzweil PC2x keyboard resetting to factory presets and purging all user data. It is possible that there is an issue with the keyboard's internal memory, or there may be a problem with the battery or power supply. Another possibility is that there is a software issue with the keyboard, such as a bug or a conflict with other devices or software. In order to troubleshoot the problem, you could try resetting the keyboard to factory settings and then reloading your user data to see if that resolves the issue. You could also try using a different power source or battery to see if that makes a difference.

Midi settings

You have to plug in the laptop sorry to say. Think of it as a piano that can be used as a midi controller.

If the blue power light does not light up then there is a problem with the unit or power supply. As it is less than a year from purchase I would advise returning it to the shop.

I've got a Adam A5X studio monitor. the problem is that fuse blows after about 15 sec. it works but you can hear background hum and the transformer gets very hot in 15 sec. then fuse blows. i wonder...

Transformers RARELY fail. It is likely that either one side of the amplifier has shorted or there is a failure in the rectifier/filter circuit of the power supply. Take it for repair unless you are adept at electronic repair. Do NOT continue to replace the fuse as you MAY cause futher damage. Use a 25 or 40 watt lamp in series with your power cord to limit current while troubleshooting.

I recorded drums to the internal click track/metronome and drums are in time with metronome when i play it back with the click from the start of the song. BUT, if i stop in the middle of the song and...

I'd say the click track starts from exactly when you hit play even if you've hit play not right on the beat. There might be a setting or preference that can fix this.

Try rewinding back to be right on the beat and see if it syncs with the click

I,ve lost my factury presets. is there any way to reload them?

Go to www.Alesis.com, undersupport clickdocuments and downloads.Click drum machines then All. The various drum machine models are then displayed to the right. Under HR-16 for instance you can download the manual in pdf and the presets in sysx. The manual should walk you through the procedure. You will have to replace the internal memory battery. They are easy to replace and cost about five bucks. Good Luck!
