Locked tv my tv locked cant do anything there is a blue screen with a red pad lock on the bottom left of the tv i dont have the original remote or the manual if anybody can help me please let me know [email protected]

Press the "Menu" button on the remote control and use the arrow buttons to scroll down to the "Parental Guide" option, then press the "Enter" button. Type in the default parental code "6688" if you have not set your own code. If you have set your own code, type it in. If you set your own code and forgot it, override it by using "6688." Use the arrow keys to switch the parental lock to "OFF." This allows all programs to be viewed no matter the rating. Press the "Exit" button on the remote and start watching all your channels
I dont have a clue what happened... The screen is blue and has a little red lock on the upper left hand side... remote only works to turn it on...no other buttons work. Help please!!!
The Tv's Child Lock has been activated...
Hold down the F button and press the MUTE button to unlock.
You can only remove the child lock using the remote.

Sorry but you're going to have to be a bit more specific than that.. What kind of Tv is it, what model number, is it the original remote, do you have an otherwise good pic and sound, do functions (vol, ch, power) on the Tv work???

I called tech support and they said to hold down the display button (the one that normally pops up the channel that you're on). I tried it and it worked even though none of the buttons got a response. It's definitely worth giving it a try!
It sounds to me like a child lock function, which is usually what the screen + padlock is on TVs. Usually your original remote would have a button / sequence to unlock the mode. If you still have your original remote, look for a child lock button or refer to your remote manual (and/or TV manual for the child lock feature) to unlock the mode.
