Yes you need the driver. You can use this software Driver Update Software for XP Vista 7 8 to make your update.

Your webcam may need an update. If you click on the webcab toolbar, there should be an option to update. Otherwise, go to logitech.com, select "support", select "product support"; then follow the options to enter model number or product type.

You should not take up dates for hardware through MS update - it can cause all sorts of problems.

Roll back to previous versions if you can... especially if the cam was working!

Alternatively get the correct update from the Logitech site itself and try those updates... sometimes MS Update gets confused the poor thing and offers you something you do not need or want.

i had the same issue with my webcam from logitech if i remember correctly, you'd need to update the drivers first. i would also try uninstalling yahoo and reinstalling it. i know that worked for me

you need service pack 2 from microsoft if you are using windows xp, just go to windows update on your computer and update over the 'net!
