motor winding resistance is within .3 ohm or less of spec. for all 4 specs. clicking seems to be coming from transmission area. noticed no electrical damage or smell.

The click is most likely coming form the motor control unit(MCU) and the dimming of the lights are caused by the starting current of the motor. It means the motor is being started and restarted repeatedly as the clicks indicates. It is a natural electrical phenomenon for lights to get dim when a motor on the same circuit starts. This is because the motor acts as "short circuit" at start-up drawing almost all current in the circuit.

Unplug the machine or flip the breaker off then remove the rear access panel to have a close view of the motor and the motor control unit on the bottom side. The MCU is where the motor connects to. Plug the machine in and run a spin cycle. Check closely where the clicks are coming from and for any sign of electrical damage such as burning smell and the like. Replace the MCU if it is where the clicks are coming and check also the motor winding resistance. You'll find a Tech Sheet inside the machine.

    The
issue is then most likely to be an issue with the brake and clutch
assemblies. The brake shoe assembly must not be fully disengaged during
the spin cycle and a slight to moderate friction is introduced. This prevents the machine from attaining full spin speed.

    Check the clutch and the
brake assemblies. The brake shoes must be released completely from the
brake drum when the motor turns in the spin direction and the clutch tab
pushes the brake cam driver and release
the brake to allow the basket to spin freely.

It looks like the clicking sound is coming from a broken brake cam driver.

The agitator needs to be taken out including the transmission assembly as the brake and clutch assemblies are mounted to the bottom of the tub and top of the transmission, respectively. The brake and clutch assemblies are both available almost in every parts distributor and they are relatively cheap.

Spin cycle on my Kenmore 90 series makes a clicking sound lights dim

May be high resistance ground in motor or relay. which would be bad news but look for any frayed wires touching the metal cabinet. Hopefully that will be your problem.

Kenmore 90 Series, clothes wet after spin

First thing you need to check is the speed of the spin cycle. As long as you are not overloading the machine, it should spin the clothes pretty dry. the basket drive may need to be replaced. If it is spinning very fast, then check the drain hose, make sure the water is coming out nice and fast. If not you may have a water pump problem even lint clogged inside it.
