Dryer starts to make a grinding sound and then stops. Starts again, but only runs for about a minute and starts grinding and stops.

One of two issues is going on, or maybe both. The first cause for the grinding noise is going to be the main bearing that is bad, and needs to be replaced. The squeaking is actually coming from the belt. So I would check under the unit and make sure that you do not have any metal shavings under the unit. Then also check the belt

sounds like the motor is over heating i would try lessining the tension on the belt

would help if knew the bran and mod#,sound's like you have a bad motor.

sounds like your motor is overheating or going bad. sometimes lint built up around the motor can cause it to overheat. or the motor is dying.

it sounds like its overheating. there may be lint in the vent hose or even stuck in the machine before getting to the lint trap.

If your dryer stops during its cycle, wait ten minutes and start dryer again. If dryer starts, then the motor was overheating.

Solution, Check for lint blockage around the motor and for possible overloading. If dryer repeatedly stops during its cycle, especially during consecutive loads, replace motor.

sounds like your bearings have gone at the back off your drum behind the small middle panel try turning it by hand if it starts scrapping straight away then u need to replace the bearings m8
