IssueAn 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel. The printer cannot copy, receive faxes, or print. Solution Press the On button to turn the printer off. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. Remove all the ink cartridges. Wait two minutes. Plug the power cord into the back of the printer. Press the On button to turn the printer on. Install the ink cartridges when prompted. If the error code does not display, the issue is resolved. If the 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel, service the printer.

Ink system failures are a frequent issue. If turning the unit on and off doesn't help, try doing a reset. With the unit on, disconnect the USB cable from the back of the printer (and from the computer - not always required but it does help sometimes). Then remove the ink cartridges. When the screen shows Insert Cartridges, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer. Unplugging the cord from the outlet may help. Wait 60 seconds and then plug in the power cord (first to the wall and then the unit). Turn on the printer if it doesn't turn on when the power cord is reconnected. Then reinsert the ink cartridges and close all doors on the product. Print a calibration page and scan the page if needed to complete the calilbration if prompted to print one. Reconnect the USB cord to both the computer and then the printer.
If this doesn't help, the printer needs service. If it is out of warranty, decide if the unit is worth the minimum $50 charge just to diagnose the problem and the cost to get the unit to a service center.
Best simple fix is to take out entire program thru Control panel>add/remove and restart the computer and then reinstall it. Should take only 15 minutes.
Jast push some ink through the print head plastic pipe.Take a seringe of full ink, put off all the ink cartrige, then set the seringe front hole on the cyan black pipe (that are usually set in side the cartrige). Then push cyan ink into the pipe.
After that, I think your printer would work again.
Thank you

The leak is from the cyan ink cartridge or from the connections in the ink tube system. Replace the ink cartridge first. If that does not fix the problem, replace the ink tube system.
The ink system failure message has a chance to be fixed or it may be a permanent issue. It can be pointing toward a firmware failure in the printer and if that is the case the following steps should fix it. Press and hold the ?*? key. Press the ?#? key and release both keys. Display should say ?Enter Special Key Combo? Press and release in sequence the "1?, ?2? and ?3? buttons. Display should say ?Support? and display the FW rev (something like R0631R) Mine reads R0631M . Press and release the right arrow button until the display says ?System Configuration Menu?. Press and release the ?OK? button. Display should say ?Hardware failure status?. If not there already, Arrow Key over to ?Hardware failure status?, Press and release the ?OK? button. Display should say ?Hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to clear?. Press and release the ?OK? Button. Message changes to ?Hardware failure status Cleared. Press Cancel to continue?. Press and release the ?CANCEL? button as many times as necessary, so that, either the ?Welcome to Photosmart Express? screen appears, or, the ?Ink System Failure? screen appears. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE. Using the Power Button, turn the unit OFF and unplug the power cable from back of the printer and wall outlet. Wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cable into the wall outlet first and then into the back of the printer. Turn the unit on. The printer may display message ?USE POWER BUTTON TO SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER? followed by ?PRESS OK TO CONTINUE?. Press OK. The Printer will start the ?ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS?. Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page. Good Luck!
Try cleaninig the ink before reinstalling it again,if problem pesist, clean the surface contact on the printer and put back the ink,if pops up again, replace the ink.
That is a cyan ( blue) ink stick count failure.
Look in your ink loader. First just try opening and closing the lid.
Then look for gaps in the cyan sticks. Most likely one is broken, cracked or otherwise jamed in the slot.
If you have to remove them, take a screw and screw it into the ink stick then slide it up the chute and out, then reload.
Hopefully someone didnt try to add or cut up a stick from a differerent phaser.
Thats your problem. Just a stuck cyan ink stick.
