There are 5 belts listed! There is nothing that relates to a mower or deck serial number either.
You have to know the model numbr of the deck (see item 1 same link to cross ref your belt size)

The belt number on the back of the belt will have the size. If you can't read it and the belt is broken without any missing peices
then lay it flat and measure its length.

When I start my Ariens Zoom 42 zeroturn mower on it runs rough. Then when you start blades and to mow it backfires and runs poorly almost stalling. What could be the cause

You either need a carburetor rebuild or you need a valve adjustment. Either of these things would cause this to happen.

Input your model and serial number of your machine on this site to download a manual. The manual SHOULD have deck removal and installation instructions. I don't know your serial number, but there is a label on your machine that has it. Go here:

If the belts are intact, then NAPA or a hardware store should be able to replace them. If they are shredded, then you should order them from Ariens. Good luck!
