I have a Grand Wega and it worked great, but as of lately, most times I have to try several times before it will finally turn on. When new, the TV would make a normal buzzing sound , then the power LED would blink a few times, then video/audio would appear. Now,after the buzzing sound the LED will blink and sometimes fail to deliver video/sound;sequence will repeat a few times and with luck I will be able to get it to turn on. When unlucky, the LED will flash yellow, then turn red and blink five times in a row then a long pause , then red again. After a couple of this RED led cycles it will go solid red and stay off. Sometimes it takes a few of these cycles and even unplugging of the set for a few minutes before I get it to operate. Once it´s on, it will stay on with no problems.
I just recently had the same problem and finally my set would no longer turn on. I replaced the projector lamp and now my set works. However, when it first comes on, it only stays on for about 2 minutes and then goes off. After another minute, it comes back on and works fine from then on. I don't believe this double power up can be any good for the lamp, but I don't know if the problem is the lamp or the set. These lamps run on about 65 volts, but require a short blast from 5000 volt source to fire up. At $200.00 a lamp, I don't want to go buy another!

To make a long story short.....You have a bad lamp. That is your only problem. If you hear that buzzing sound, that is the ballast trying to kick start the lamp. Just change the lamp and all is good. Make sure you get the correct lamp...and you wont end up kicking out money for another lamp in 2 months.

I must try over and over again in order to get my Polariod TV to come on. When it is on things are fine. I have only had the TV for a few months.
My TV wont turn on any more and the LCD light keeps blinking
