If handle is right behind gaskets then pull gasket a little and you should be able to get it

if the temp is 10f compressor is fine, just need a tune up, call a specialist.

Must be kept at 0*F (-18*C) minimum

The symptoms do indicate a failed thermostat.

I am not sure where you could get a thermostat for this freezer but I would try contacting Norlake first. They may guide you to who has one or maybe they can sell you one. If it is a direct replacement it is something that you can do yourself.

Normally, freezers are at 0 degrees. If you have ice cream, shoot for -10 degrees.

Normally freezers are kept at zero. Most health departments will not allow the temp to be higher than plus 10. If you want to store ice cream, you need to be at minus 10 degrees to minus 15 degrees.

No probably just frozen up due to door being left open turn unit off and check internal unit have a look on the evaporator (internal unit) see if it has a covering of ice if so leave of utill completly frost free and then restart I bet it will work

They are usually mounted on the front panel of the evaporator or mounted on the wall behind the evaporator.There is a possibility that the temp. control is at the condenser,and the sensing bulb was slipped thru the wall.Look for the bulb at the back of the evaporator and follow the cap tube.
