dishwasher wont start. none of the lights are coming on.

Your garbage disposal is clogged . Or your hose from your garbage disposal is flowing in the down position

Thermal Fuse If the dishwasher won't start the thermal fuse might have blown. The thermal fuse helps to prevent damage to the dishwasher by turning off power so that it doesn't overheat. Once blown, the thermal fuse will have to be replaced for the dishwasher to work.

Door Switch The door switch, or switches, are sometimes called interlock switches. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the dishwasher won't start, the switch or switches might be defective. To access the door switches, remove the control panel or inside door panel - depending on the model. They can be tested for continuity.

Main Control Board The main control board provides power to nearly every component of the dishwasher. If the dishwasher won't start the main control board might be defective. YOU should first check for more common parts. Many times control boards are replaced unnecessarily because the problem was not diagnosed properly.

Touchpad and Control Panel If the touchpad is defective, the control board might not get the signal for the selections made. If the dishwasher won't start and the display doesn't seem to change properly when the buttons are pressed, the touchpad might need to be replaced. On some models the touchpad and control panel are sold together and will need to be replaced at the same time.

Open the door to the dishwasher. there should be a circular peice on the left or right side of the tub. it maybe stuck. if its stuck. the water won't shut-off.

This dishwasher will leak if there is to much water in the unit.
I have the same dishwasher with a different problem.
Mine won't circulate the water. I have not use it for a while and some water will back feed from the sink and fill the dishwasher, so if I don't check for that problem once in a while I see it start to leak.
It never has done that when the unit was working....

Their are a couple possiblities that could be causing that;
1) the connections where the house wiring connects to the dishwasher in of the junction box has burnt, the circuit breaker will very likely be on but the bad/burnt connection wont send power to control.

2) one or both of the door switches on the latch asm. are bad,to check those use a meter set to a low ohms setting and check for ZERO ohms when the door is closed,to check those TURN OFF CIRCUIT BREAKER remove wires from switch(s) and place one meter lead on each terminal

I have a Jenn air dishwasher JDB8910AWW It fills with water but will not wash also i hear a clicking sound and the control panel blinks

Turn off source power, then black to black, white to white and ground to green, is the typical connection.
