I have a G320 laptop with 512 SO-DIMM DDR400 and 1 GhZ procesor ,OS WIN XP, how can I run my G320 faster

This laptop is too old to work with the latest operating system by Microsoft.Here are the requierments of Windows 7.

Are you uning the recovery CD or a new OS?

A new Os (XP) will allow the second drive even if the old one will not. Of course you can always add a USB hard drive and a USB PCI card to make it all work. What are you using this pc for seems a little old for todays applications. Suggestion If your going to use this that you Replace the main hard drive with a 120GB or larger, new video card at least 256MB if not 512 and at least 1 gig of memory as I believe it will only take a max of 1 gig. you cannot use vista as it requires more resources than this Pc can give to support the OS. you may want to try XP LITE as well one you get XP installed to speed it up a bit!

160gb - but ensure the bios is up to date and check the motherboard manual as that will or should explain about maximum capacity of hard drives but am sure it should be fine.

If it is not and does not detect all of it you can partition the partitions into smaller amounts ie 80 gb partitions each ?

Upgrading processor is not likely a practical solution; find out the motherboard manufacturer and contact their site for more information. As to upgrading the motherboard, you'll have to know what kind/size of board your system will require. If you don't have lots of experience, this process is very risky.

Frankly, the cheapest way to upgrade your computer is to buy a used and working product with Windows XP already installed. Go to http://craigslist.com, select your city, and search for a brand name you trust. I've bought DOZENS of used computers very cheap that way (I'm writing this on a $2,200 Dell Latitude D620 I bought fiv months old for $500, who needed the cash!)
