I downloaded the E_H4.pdf manual for this model and searched to see if it has an internal speaker. I don't think it has one.

I have a Zoom H2 myself and there is no internal speaker. You must use the earphone socket.

Hope this helps.

My speakers are not giving out any sound. They register as 'working' win all of my sound menus, but there is only silence from the speakers themselves. Help please.

Make sure the speakers are set as the default device. Right click on the sound icon, click playback devices, and then find something like speakers, and right click on it and choose set as default device. If you don't see speakers you can right click on each item and click test until you find one that works.

No sound to speakers

This is pretty easy to troubleshoot. First plug something else into the speakers to make sure they work. (cd player, phone, gameboy ect.). If the speakers don't come on make sure they are getting power. There should be a light on the speakers to varify they are getting power. If the speakers do work when you plugged them into something else, plug them back into the computer and make sure you are plugging them in the right portal. A common mistake is plugging them into the mic jack. Look for a small pair of head phones next to the jack on the back of the computer. Plug them in and go to your volume control on the bottom right of your computer screen. Turn that up. This should fix you problem...if not, you may have an issue with your computer.

No sound...i have 3 of the same tvs, two of them no longer have sound, something to do with the speakers. and the third is buzzing like its on its way out. I opened uo the speaker panels, if i jiggle in...

First you could hook up the External Audio Output jacks to your stereo amp and check to see what quality of sound there is, if any. If sound isn't there you probably have a bad I.C. audio chip, either a processor or a speaker driver. If the sound is acceptable you may have a poor solder connection either at the speakers or on the audio board.

We have older speakers that came with our computer, and we just moved and since we've moved no sound has come out of the speakers. i have checked a million times and everything's plugged in. i...

First check if the driver for your speakers is up to date. For all we know maibe something that was installed automaticaly or by some one might be interfearing with them. Go to the Window menu, click on Conrol Panel, click on speaker settings, and check to see if anything looks off (like everything is gray and you can't really select anything). If everything seems ok check all the volume settings. Remember there are 3 things that control the volume on the speakers. 1: the nob on the speakers; 2: the volume on your desktop (lower right side next to the clock); 3: the volume on the program you are using (like windows media player). Another thing to remember is some computers come with a mute button (ether on the keyboard or monitor. If your computer has a play/skip/stop buttons it most likely has a mute button. Oh, and some computers have a volume nob next to the CD/DVD player (where you put in disks). Maibe some one turned it down as they grabed to move it. Make sure it's also turned up. If they're all turned up then most likely something got bumped loose during the move. In wich case you'll have to open it up and check the conections. It'd be a good idea to test some one elses speakers so you'll know if it's the computer or the speakers...or you could try pluging in the speakers you have into something else (like an MP3 Player).

There is disturbance in sound in speakers. Some kind of hissing noise comes from the speakers. But when i connected the speakers to laptop the sound was clear. Please tell what the problem is and what...

before anything update your sound drivers

Hissing in speakers is generally due to noise in the system somewhere getting amplified. There will always be a certain amount of noise, but what you can do is check to be sure your input gain is set on the high side. That helps ensure there's maximum signal to the (sadly, generally fixed) amount of background noise. Then adjust overall volume from the master.

The other thing is to try and isolate the cause of the noise by switching around between various end sources. So - If the noise is tehre when the DVD player is on, but not when it's off, then you know it's either the player or the interconnects to/from the player. Same on a computer - Try to mute and unmute various sources.

Onboard audio is typically not high quality, it's possibly your problem, it's also possible you've got a component in your system that's injecting more noise than usual (maybe something that's close to failing... or that isn't intended for consumer use). I have Realtek onboard audio on my HTPC but I replaced it with an Audigy card a couple years back, using the optical output to my audio rack keeps everything digital in the PC where you're most likely to get noise.

I JUST bought a insignia speaker 2.1 (model # NS-PCS21) and the speaker plug ins are pluged right, power are plug in, the green and the red cord plugged in... i see blue light comming up. my computer sound...

Greetings - The setup (as you already know) is simple. If you have the a/c adapter plugged in, the power on and the green speaker cable in the audio out at the back of your PC and and the red cable plugged into the subwoofer and the volume knob on the the right speaker turned up that's all it takes.

The one possible gotcha I can see is if you have something plugged into the jack at the BACK of the right speaker (an AUX jack for things like MP3 players, etc.) it will override everything else.

If that's all good you have a bad set of speakers.
