Check brake caliper mounting bolts if caliper is not lose you may need 2 have disc rotors checked they somtimes develop high&low spots this will cause brake shudder.if rotors measure up ok they can be skimed & witha new set of pads be good as again

You need to have the front rotors turned or replaced. Take a set of dial calipers and measure the rotor thickness. compare that to the specs on the rotor and that will let you know if you can turn them. Put new pads on and make sure to lube the slider pins.

My 98 dodge ram vibrates bad at 40 mph plus at a steady low rpm. if i step on the gas it kinda stops and if i let go of the gas is stops completely it also started misfiring when it started this

Torque convertor shutter? Maintain the speed that it does this, and with your left foot, apply a small amount of pressure to the brake pedal. Not enough to slow vehicle, but enough to disengage the lock up convertor. If it goes away, try servicing the fluid with new 7176. if that doesnt do it, replace the convertor.

Our 01 1500 Dodge Ram 2WD pickup's air conditioner kicks over to heat every time we break. Is this a vacuum problem?

Yes it is, but where is going to be the fun part. Under the hood on the left side of the engine. "passenger side" right near where the a/c lines go into the truck is a set of vacuum lines. If they trace to the left side of the intake manifold thats them. there is 3-4 joined together that merge into one and plugs into the manifold. Inspect these lines for cracks or a loose fit. The brake booster pulls alot of vacuum so a loose or cracked line is the culprit. I would also be willing to bet that since the a/c dose work, that the leak is under the hood. Hope this helps :)

Vibration in 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 (YES, this is a double post)

Could be u-joints. My wife's Pathfinder developed a vibration at highway speeds. A little research revealed the front driveshaft u-joints bearings would begin to fail causing some play. Took it in to have them inspected and sure enough- the little needle bearings were grinding down to dust. Replaced with greesable units and vibration is gone.
Certainly worth checking out.

Truck shuts off anfd restart right away, no trouble code.

First thing I'd check would be battery cables, at both ends for clean, good & tight. Does it ever do it while driving at highway speeds or just at slow speeds? Wet out, dry out?
